Somebody on NFL channel a few days back was predicting we would play them in one of the first nationally televised games..
Doubt it. The NFL likes to write their own narratives about the league, and right now it's clearly how the Browns are The Next Big Thing. Having the lowly Jets and Sam Darnold beat them shorrhanded this season doesn't fit that narrative, so I fully expect this game to be in the second half of the season.
Nick Chubb is no slouch. He averaged 5.2 yards a carry last year and only miss a 1,000 rookie season because Hue was too stubborn to play him early on. He is their RB of the future.
I always thought it was a strange move on both sides, why did the Browns need him as they have Chubb, why did Hunt want to go to a team that had a top prospect already, limiting your game time at the very least. I fail to believe the Browns were the only team willing to take him on, saying that he maybe sees the Browns as Superbowl winners.
I think the browns may have been the only team in on him. Most of the league is scared to death of bad PR, but the Browns fans most likely don’t care because they are watching winning football for the first time in 20 years. He took 1 year at 1 mill. If he had other options he would have taken them
He hardly hung about before signing, he could have been looking now, 8 games is nothing to wait to tie up a top quality RB and as for bad publicity that bengal who knocked out a blonde in a cafe/bar well nobody seems to give much of a fuck about that anymore and for me that was a 1000x worse an act.
