the Bills play a 4-3, but i don't think position was ever Coples problem... he's a subpackage guy at best.
The Bills don't play a single anything. They use a multitude of fronts . . . probably sometimes to a detriment.
yeah we play a lot of fronts too. most teams do. the Bills base is a 4-3, and with all those mixed fronts, every technique gets played, yet Coples still will not produce. you said he'll be playing out of position again, which is not the issue. never really was..
Whether or not the Bills' base defense is a 4-3 is not all that relevant because they play a lot of everything. If Rex uses him again as a linebacker, he WILL be playing out of position again, because he is not a linebacker. That's all I'm really pointing out. Also, while I totally agree that Coples playing out of position was not his only issue here, I definitely think it contributed heavily to his inability to stay on the field. One of the main problems Coples had here was that the there were better DEs on the roster.
