Miami had a deal in place with Brees but it fell through at the last minute and that is a place where Cully may end up. http://mb20.scout.com/fvikingupdatefrm2.showMessage?topicID=172541.topic
Lets make a rumors forum. There are way too many of them. I want to read what is official and what is a "rumor".
It true just heard it hear on the MN news. The Vikings have already set up a deal with a team for a trade and have it DONE with another team, but they cant announce it until after free-agency. Still waiting on word on who its going to be.
This is Crazy, there are 735 Members on Finheaven, at midnight, freaking out. I've got mixed feelings myself. I like Culpepper, but I don't want to give up to much to get him. We could have Brees at no cost pick wise, but there isn't a garantee he'll sign with us, nor do we know what he might cost if a bidding war begins. The Franchise is in Saban's hands.......
I think Culpepper will be very good for Miami. Miami is building a big D and a solid running game. Culpepper will give them big strike capability that Brees doesn't have and no other team in the division has. He also is a big strong guy and will be fine playing in NE, Buffalo and NY in cold weather games. He has the arm to throw the ball through the wind. With Saban, he will be much more contained in his decission making than he was with Tice or Green. Think of Vinny in 98. Of course it all depends on his rehabed knee.
what if he has a 2004 season and throws 41 touchdowns this guy can and will play at a high level for whatever team he goes to.
