Reading an article on the Mets and their new stadium plan going forward. Shea scheduled for demolition in a couple of years.

Wouldn't it be great if Woody would give us just one more game at Shea?

I know NJSEA would scream, and there's probably a few hundred other reason against it, but what if they played one of the two preseason games there?

I guarantee you they'd get a sellout, which they would never get at the Meadowlands.

    No.

I hate football games played on baseball fields.

Why not play a game at the Yale Bowl as well? Broadway Joe played there, it's a piece of a Jet's history.

With our luck as Jet fans the team would either lose that proposed game at Shea or something terrible like an injury would occur.

Let's not add any more jinx to this club.

How do you think the Mets would feel about having their field torn up in late August?

All preseason games are sellouts b/c they require them for season ticket holders. All they care about is the money, they don't care if people actually showed up but I'd love to see another game in Shea.

And which 20,000 season ticket holders have to stay home??? Shea holds 55,000 and the Meadowlands 77,000. I take it you are volunteering??? And besides, Shea is a dump that was designed for baseball. Half the seats are in the end zone. Why in the world would the Jets go back there???????
