Reading an article on the Mets and their new stadium plan going forward. Shea scheduled for demolition in a couple of years. Wouldn't it be great if Woody would give us just one more game at Shea? I know NJSEA would scream, and there's probably a few hundred other reason against it, but what if they played one of the two preseason games there? I guarantee you they'd get a sellout, which they would never get at the Meadowlands.
Why not play a game at the Yale Bowl as well? Broadway Joe played there, it's a piece of a Jet's history.
With our luck as Jet fans the team would either lose that proposed game at Shea or something terrible like an injury would occur. Let's not add any more jinx to this club.
The Jets don't sell out the Meadowlands??? lmfao. they have a sellout streak of about 26 years and counting pal.
All preseason games are sellouts b/c they require them for season ticket holders. All they care about is the money, they don't care if people actually showed up but I'd love to see another game in Shea.
guys are we forgetting that shea stadium is a complete shit-hole?????meadowlands aint great but shea is a shit box....enough with the nostalgic bs
Yeah, it's not like he was talking about the PRE-SEASON. Can Vinny ball-washers not read or something?
And which 20,000 season ticket holders have to stay home??? Shea holds 55,000 and the Meadowlands 77,000. I take it you are volunteering??? And besides, Shea is a dump that was designed for baseball. Half the seats are in the end zone. Why in the world would the Jets go back there???????
