We have a family friend with his wife and 2 kids there. At the time of the attack they were in Barselona, separated - wife and daughter went for ice cream, him and son were in some shop on nearby street. The Islamic world by and large is still in the dark ages. No renaissance, no enlightenment, nothing which defines the institutions and values western civilization is base on. Minneapolis Cedar Riverside community, is a good example of where they didn't spread them out enough.
