I keep hearing it has good reviews, but every single person I respect who has seen it says it is bad and a huge disappointment. Makes you wonder if Marvel or other big companies pay to have their movies be "Fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes or something. 82% Fresh for a polarizing movie that most people who have seen it already don't like, doesn't add up to me. Nothing has really impressed me or made me think it is terrible from the trailers, so I don't have an opinion either way yet.
Keep in mind, while it’s 82% fresh, the average rating of those fresh reviews is in the 60’s. So, you have reviewers giving it a low score but still rating it fresh.
Black Panther had his first appearance in 1965 in Fantastic Four #55 and 56. BP was also a member of the Avengers in and out through the 60s , 70s and 80s The Avengers movies and the MCU is pretty accurate as far as most heroes who were at some point part of the team as it was a revolving door with core members and associate members.
For some reason I think his rights were part of the crap deal that gave away rights to Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer, but never actually brought to film. Probably a good thing as the FF has been the crappiest movies in all the Marvel franchises. One of the first comics I ever bought was a Sub Mariner comic within him battling the Thing on the cover. Still have - if only I wasn’t a stupid kid and it wasn’t in shitty condition.
Universal still owns his rights. It's the same situation as the Hulk. I hope Namor is a Black Panther villain at some point then turns good during a big marvel event.
For the City of Atlantis absolutely lol... Namor and Black Panther have a long storied rivalry in the comics. 2 kings apart of great kingdoms what can go wrong?
Tony is back! And Captain Marvel is here too. Can't wait! Hey, maybe a Mod should change the title of this thread from Infinity War to END GAME. Because THE HYPE. IS. REAL!!!!!!
They dropped this out of no where and I started to freak out as I want to get many tickets (taking the family and another family). Glad tickets aren't on sale yet....I guess.
Yeah. This could be the biggest film event ever. I mean, it has to be. 11 years building to this epic moment. I have to go opening night, but it will be a tough ticket. We are truly in the end game now........... There will be tears!
My kids are a little too young for a late showing opening night, and to be honest, I'm too much of a grump to go then as well. People clapping and cheering. Shut up its a theater. I want to go and be hyped for 3 hours in total silence.
I completely understand that. I just don't want anything spoiled for me. They have done an amazing job keeping everything under wraps so far.
I wonder who from the Avengers will be the first to go ... in one of the scenes in the trailer, it looks like Antman is touching Thor's hammer (?) and not the new version either.
Watch again, is it when he is little? That is totally a pencil if it is the scene I'm thinking of. Well, my plan is to go Saturday morning, hopefully a 9am start especially if it is 3 hours so I can go straight to lunch, so I avoided spoilers for Capt. Marvel, I can do it for Endgame.
Crap sure is. I want Cap to yield Mjolnir so badly lol ... I am going first thing that Saturday as well.
