Don't want to jump the gun but I'll say this, ASJ is easily becoming one of my favorite players on the roster and as a tight end, he's the best we've had in a long time.
I think very high, especially if he keeps up his production and continues bettering himself as a person. We have a ton of cap and Jets should pay this guy
We should lock him up for 5 years. Hes pretty young, getting better and better, and shouldn't be too expensive.
I just can't see myself starting a Gronk appreciation thread on a Pats fan forum. But that's just me. I'm weird like that.
How much would you be willing to give him? He will be looking for around $ 6-7 mill per year , pretty much the going rate for a quality TE. He is looking good but I still have reservations about him off the field. I'm not convinced he isn't saying / doing the right things because it's a contract year. I'm just Leary of what happens once he gets paid. It's always a gamble but with his background, a little more so. I think it will be a wait and see how the rest of the season goes with him.
tbf it is more than a contract year, it is a career saving year, any more getting pissed up and nobody would be touching him with a bargepole, I can't believe these things are not written into the contracts of players, ie for ASJ any failed breathalyzer tests and it is goodbye my son and kiss your guaranteed money goodbye, that is maybe a bit harsh but you get my drift. We have to learn to cover our backs, all to often people get the big money cash and stop trying, do these fuckers have no pride.
Some play for the love of the game , Adams is a good example. Others are there for the money. ASJ never came across as a player who loves the game. That's my concern.
1. Seferian-Jenkins is not long-established. He's had unrealized potential... which is now becoming realized. Gronk was pretty much Gronk from the start. 2. SJ has also had off-field troubles, which he seems to be dealing with. Not Gronk. Well, none that affect his play, anyway.
