I don't think my generation had any more fun growing up than my parents' did. I grew up in the same town as my dad, and from the way he describes his childhood, it seems he and his friends had a pretty decent time. And quite a few of the current high schoolers (several years younger than me) I know seem lonely and depressed. These are the kids who never knew anything but the Internet, smartphones, etc.
The way girls are these days, I would've lost my virginity at like 12 lol ... the days of hanging out in the neighborhood playing 'Man Hunt' and shit like that are over for sure. But I do agree that today's society is far more isolated.
