The Jets were bad last year and we currently have no QB. If your a pass catcher why would you come here right now? We would have to overpay a lot to get these guys at the current state of the roster.
Would rather save money and spend it wisely than another 2015. I think the writing is on the wall that Cousins signs with the Vikings. If thats the case, bring back McCown, draft a QB round 1 and invest the money in the holes on the roster.
Agreed. It's the harsh reality this franchise is facing as other teams around them are making move after move.
The secret to FA is not to reach early and overpay. Good teams have patience and wait for the market to settle. Making splashes generally means overpaying and in most cases ends badly. If we get one of the Centers, Richburg or Jensen and a CB I will consider FA a success.
They should panic and get in a bidding war over guys in the first wave of free agency! IF YOU'RE NOT FIRST YOU'RE LAST!!!
I know....I don't think many do. Had 6 sacks last year but since 2013 to 2016 I think he had 3.... Come on MM....this guy should not be a priority.
I'm just really upset they didn't get Allen Robinson. Seemed like a very good fit, and they really need a WR bad. With all this money, we need to actually spend some of it so I don't understand the "spend wisely" camp here.
This year is Macagnan's last chance...if he doesn't show a semblance of a plan or success I think he and his crappy coach are done.

Well, it's obvious Kirk Cousins is the Jets plan A, B, and C. If they fail to get him ,their distant plan D is using the draft. This is because Mac sucks at selecting QB's. He doesn't trust himself to select QB's. He knows he'll fuck it up. Meanwhile, it still hasn't dawned on Mac that Cousins 1) is way too expensive given his performance. Because of his salary, it limits what Mac will be able to give other FA's. His salary will play a part in keeping the Jets lacking talent. 2) Cousins simply isn't good enough any way. Even if his salary was reasonable, there's no way KC can win you a SB. This move marks the beginning of the end for Mac and Blowes. They will get fired for this.
Don't forget, our GM lost a bidding war for Fitz when he was the only bidder.. Do you REALLY want Macc jumping into the FA game willy nilly?? Let Macc take his time and hopefully, get it right.
