Shouldn't Brown's agent and the Steelers work together to trade him? Doesn't make sense negotiating with a team if Brown has no interest playing there. Players shouldn't dictate where they go, but if I was the Bills or any other team, I wouldn't want to trade for a player that doesn't want to play for me.

In an update to our previous story, the Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly had a deal in place to trade wide receiver Antonio Brown to the Buffalo Bills but the deal "fell apart" because Brown refused to play in Buffalo according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Brown has said he wants to win wherever he goes, and Buffalo isn't all that close to contending for Super Bowls while also playing in the "Siberia" of the NFL. Very few star players who have any say-so at all would ever agree to go there. Multiple teams have already declared themselves out of the running for AB, so it is unclear where he'll end up at this point. His stated desire to win wherever he goes would seem to rule out some of the most likely destinations like the Arizona Cardinals and Oakland Raiders, although at least both those places have better weather.

Really at this point what makes the most sense is the colts. they could get bell and brown to pair with luck and hilton and have 1 hell of an offense. they have the cap room and are a team that con compete now

He was never on the verge of becoming a Buffalo Bill.........I'm thinking the Steelers leaked that stuff to Rappaport to drive up the asking price.

The initial report from sources that the Bills were close to a trade for Brown came from NFL Media's Ian Rapoport late Thursday night. On Friday morning, Rapoport reported the Bills had been near a trade and had spoken to Brown's agent Drew Rosenhaus, but Brown "would not commit to showing up in Buffalo."

However, an NFL source Thursday night told the News that while the Bills had inquired about Brown, a deal was not imminent. Another NFL source said Friday morning that Bills officials had considered the deal dead Wednesday, a day before the initial NFL Media report.

Sounds like a certain board with a team that plays in The New Dump.

Larry Fitzgerald may be right that Antonio Brown shot himself in the foot. Interest from teams is waning. Of course he'll land somewhere, just hopefully not here. Or the Cheats. I don't want Bell, either, but it wouldn't surprise me all that much if the Jets pull the trigger on that. Oy.

agreed, no way does Josh Allen complete a 3rd and 5 to Antonio Brown when he's running an quick 7 yard out-route

He could just run for that first, or maybe throw a 40 yd TD pass instead...
That makes for a tough player to defend in short ydg situations, as you have to respect both.

Trading for Brown would be a mistake for Buff though, just like it would be a mistake for us.
They need help, but not that type of help.

More then likely, he will do his usual, drift away from the pocket, probably to the right, buy time, buy more time and with no regard just chucks a pass 40 yards down the field for an incompletion / interception.

The Steelers would be stupid to trade him there. AFC team and with Luck there Brown could make them look very bad and haunt them for years.

I think in an article I read that Brown said he had NO say so in where he was traded. Since he is the one who wants to leave and has created the situation with the Steelers, he shouldn't have any say so, unless they were dumb enough to include that in his contract. If that was the case, however, I see no reason why Brown would have said that he had no say-so, unless he just didn't want to embarrass the Bills.

I think if you're the Bills, it's best not to trade for a guy (who's already known for his antics) who doesn't want to play there.

The true disappointment of this is that @BuffaloPhysco did not post after the initial reports:

"AB is going to crush the Jets twice a year!"

"Allen to Brown is going to be unstoppable for the next decade!!!!"

"The Bills have the best QB and the best WR in the NFL!"

"I still believe in Nathan Peterman!"

    Too bad.
