I think we can all agree that while Williams, Lee, and Adams have value all three are not going make much of a difference in the teams long term success without a franchise QB. What if the Jets offered up all three plus this years first and the late second from Seattle to move up with Indy to grab a QB? It works out great for everyone. Indy is in more of a win now mode with Luck and get three young starters to add to their defense. The Jets get their QB and keep all their future draft picks who will have more controllable years. McCagnan will have 100 mil in cap space to fill the holes on defense and use the draft to improve the offense and OL (like every other NFL team does).
C'mon man, how about thinking within the box on something the front office will do because there's no way from timbuktu that that's ever going to happen. BTW, big Tull fan ---- think the Jets fans should know 'Cry You a Song' for every game lost
This has to be, by far, one of the worst ideas I've heard on these forums. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
But we need a FQB, without one we are doomed. Might as well give everything away until we have the fix. Stupidest concept in Pro Football.
Give Cousins the bank, this guy played well with most of his offensive line on IR, or out of the game, Draft Chubb, imagine play action with that beast , McCown atleastlet us know we are set at receiver. Get Chubb a blocking fullback, tight ends don’t get the job done Get a outside pass rusher and a corner in draft or free agency Do anything to get a punt returner
Why is it a dumb idea? Unprecedented yes, but I dont believe any of those three players are essential.
Well the idea presented in the opening post seems terrible but why not keep the thread open to hear some potentially good trade up ideas? Now let's move this to draft forum shall we?
Cmon Brook, trading Williams, Lee, and Adams for draft picks? Lol, the draft forum is sacred! We cannot stain it with such obscene posts
Absolutely absurd idea. First, I wouldn't ever trade three former first round picks, all of whom have become extremely important players on the defense. (Lee not so much as the others but still a starter) Second, We would be giving up an extreme amount just for one pick? Off the top of my head, I would expect about one or two first rounders alone for all three players (maybe even more draft picks). And your giving up our first round and a second rounder. Absolutely ridiculous. Third, that leaves 3 gaping holes in our defense (2 of which will be hard to replace). Also, Mac would be basically giving up on his last 3 first round picks. Why would he want to do that? I guess we will have to disagree on what was essential because i think Adams/Williams are both essential.
To focus on realistic trade proportions, I still don't see us trading up(one of the QBs or a talented player will fall to us). If we wanted to trade up I'd say maybe our first and both the seconds but I don't see the value in trading up in this draft class.
Great idea, and they can use the Colts' pick to draft Tanner Lee from Nebraska whom you declared to be the best QB in this draft. Another Tull HR. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/tanner-lee-qb-nebraska.89314/
Only if they include you for one of their fan board posters. Trade the core of a rebuilding roster and picks to grab the 3rd best QB in a Questionable class. This must win an award for the absolute dumbest thread in TGG history!!!?
