In 50+ years, I've never seen things fall so well into place for the Jets. Darnold dropping because of at least one mistake that someone else made. We outfox our main rival in the division for a QB , and they wind up taking the least fearsome of the four top choices. Then Arizona comes in to sweep Rosen as far away, both geographically and intangibly, as he could possibly go, to nip any Marino-O'Brien comparisons in the bud. And...if Darnold hits it big, we'll be able to lord that over the Giants (do I dare even think this?) So far so good...Now let's see what happens.
I'm with you on this. No problem with the Darnold pick and I'm so glad Rosen did not wind up in Miami or New England. Josh Allen to the Bills was just a bonus pick for the Jets.
Not only did the stars align, we didn't fuck it up. I'm still in shock and I'm hyped for this season now.

The stars aligned for us in many ways tonight. Darnold fell in our laps. Buffalo took Allen. And just as Miami is licking their chops, Arizona sweeps in and takes Rosen, forcing Miami to take a safety lol Couldn't have written tonight any better, IMO
I'm ecstatic to see the Jets land Sam Darnold. The Football Gods have smiled down on us. Can't wait to watch Darnold take us all to the Promised Land, Go Jets!

I agree! Such great Luck. I vividly remember the day 2 years ago watching Darnold play Penn State. I was at the gym and I said to myself... We need this guy. 2 years later, I got what I asked for. Better or worse, I asked for this and I got it.
All you can do is hope it pans out and trust the process and the current front office. It is impossible to predict how good these guys will be in the NFL, but that's why we have guys like Mac making those decisions. Many on here never believed this guy would be wearing Green and White. Now we must trust the process and hope it all works out!
I'm excited to see what Mac does the rest of this draft. He has shown to have a keen eye for talent late in the draft. Let's see if he can turn over some gems this year
Wasn't thrilled about the pick when it was announced, I was indifferent but right now I'm pretty happy. Darnold has immense potential and I look forward to picking up a SB with Sam.
