they do have potential. check out these sites for new fonts: www.dafont.com www.1001fonts.com and as for the border, i'm not sure what you would have to do in whatever program you're using (Gimp? Paintshop Pro?), but i would def try to add one.
great job dwalsh....there has got to be a better picture of Rhodes that doesnt make him look like dumbo IMO... how did you make the outline around the players?
i'm just using the headshots off the the Jets roster. as for the stroke around the player... have the render on one layer, then ctrl+click on that layer, select the layer below it, go to select>modify>expand>3 px. Then go to edit>stroke>1 px>white>inside. Then set that layer to 50% opacity.

I made a internship (is this the right word?) at a advertiser (ist this te right word?) and i did some very simple things on Photoshop 5 back in the days ( id had talent but unfortunatly no sense for colors at all). (Thank god this is easy here:lol. Since that i didn?t do anything with such Programs, i had some time yesterday and i decided to give it a shot. I?ve been surprised myself how good the outcome was (actually i don?t know how to put a border around the pics). I?m trying to get the latest version of Photoshop now, cuz i hade a lot of fun making these. The program is use is called PhotoImpact and has been installed on my PC when i got it.
Guys with long names are going to get lost in the background. I prefer a green background, but yours does look pretty good so far. Will the creator have trouble finding pics for the background? Cause there will probably be 40+ of these done, and it would be asking alot from the guy who eventually takes this up. Also, i think there should be some kind of border. I also think the logo should be smaller, and i would think it looks better straight. All constructive criticism :smile:

i like it but, i don?t like cutting their heads. and souldn?t there be a tgg.com logo in there? do you use a pic of the particular for the backround?
i like it, but are you going to want to change the background pic on the right for every player...if im not mistaken thats coles in the background as well.. if its well received...i can help you out with chopping heads and placing them for you
The background picture is just one of coles on soft light, that would be changed for each player. And if you guys are anti-clipped heads.. it would be a 5 second fix.
A lot of great work here! F'ing sweet. I have my template done for the Planet but am leaving it alone until August. Lot of work. Anyway, just wanted to say how much I like the versions here.
Ah DW, the man that inspired it all. (Come to think of i mabey i remember you saying you saw it on a broncos, or chiefs board or something) Feel free to crit the templates put forward, I'm sure the guys would definitely would love your opinion on some of them.
