So it's been a while. [About barely a fucking day.]

This has settled in for me.

Here's my take:

Jets for now [suck.] As in 4-12 kind of suck.

If Jets can improve to 8-8 mediocrity, then I should take it. You don't win SB with 4-12 team unless you are playing Madden. So if this coach brings the Jets to the mediocrity, I am all for it.

Maybe, after 3-4 years of mediocrity at 8-8 or 9-7, they can hope to rise higher. For now - mediocrity is a major improvement. Thank you, Todd Bowles!

This drives me INSANE. I can’t believe how lackadaisical most coaches are about the fact that every second half timeout they take potentially shortens the game by 40 seconds. There are very few scenarios where that’s worth avoiding a 5 yard penalty.

Glad to see Gase low on this list.

 

This alone may make me a convert! I HATE when teams blow TOs just to avoid a 5 yard penalty! The time is waaay more valuable than the yards.

I'm resigned to Gase being the HC. I'm hoping Williams becomes the DC just as an insurance policy. I'm not buying into the Mehta ongoing Gase blowjob nor the Wide Eyed kid evaluation Sam Darnold provided..

I'm gonna wait and see what the record on 2019 is going to be. That's the only measuring stick I plan to use. All the rest of it is Propaganda designed to gin up interest in 2019.
