    Question for the experts.......
If the Jets can't work out a long term deal or trade can they recind the tag and let him go or are we stuck with Abe and the 8mil hit, which I can't see them fitting into our cap.

They can lift the tag at any time BEFORE Abraham signs the tender. If he doesn't blink, and signs it, the Jets could be in deep kimchee, I think.... I don't know if they would take that risk.... maybe they do have enough cap space planned to keep him after March 3, but I sure don't know how.

Yeah right...He has Corey Simon written all over him if no trade is made...Simon plain out would not sign the Franchise deal. Abe won't either then will get a nice contract like Simon did.

How can any of you say Abe does not deserve a long term deal or he is selfish? Ellis and Robertson both got what Abe wants and you blame him? Get real.

When did I ever say he doesn't deserve a long term deal? And so Ellis has one bad year and he stinks, verrrrrrry smart.

I never said that, show me. All I said is that the Jets won't be that team to give him that long-term deal...Keep putting words in my mouth.

You wouldnt understand intellectual intelligent conversation anyway.

  14. Abe doesnt wat to be a jet and the jets dont want his high salary/underachieving combo. He will be traded by draft day.

John Abraham played great this year, all year, and put his stock back where it should have been before he made some ill-advised comments to the press a year ago.

I think he could definitely draw a first round pick, but I'd prefer they work out a long-term deal with him.

He's a player that I would want my young, rebuilding team to emulate on the field, in terms of drive and aggression.

Abe is probably furious as hell, but we can trade him now.
