We are in the middle of tough times. Four and a half months passed since Jets played their last game. Only 3 months left for preseason football. The time between Draft and training camp is the worst time of the year. Hang in there boys and girls. We are getting close.
Out of desperation for a Jets news fix I recently tried listening to sports talk radio. Question: Have they always sounded like junior high school girls gossiping?
Depends on who you are listening. I was able to listen Joe and Evan on WFAN when I was working mostly from home but now that I don't have that chance I stopped listening sports radio. Morning shows and drive home shows are crap. I get my daily fix thru here to be honest.
Seems like the down time is so much more painful this season. Not too bad though, camp comes sooner than 3 months and with it will be more meaningful reports on the team to satisfy everyone
Yes "middle of tough times" if you mean no SB in 47 years, I agree. We are not getting close. We are just tooling around. I hope I'm wrong but likely not.
Enjoy the down time as watching our HC get on the job training when the games really count is way more painful than the off season .
As much as I love summer I really can't wait for September. this is probably the most excited for the start of a Jets season I've been since Rex year 1, and before that Parcells year 1 in 1997.
Looks like there's going to be a lot of NFL fans catching up on some homework over the next few months:
Why does the thread title and the opening post mysteriously sound like champ? Oh, I almost forgot . . .
I'm looking forward to the OTA's. It should give us an inkling of what our new QB can do. He should be OK with our average OL, but I'm still hoping for a better center. It's also time for the OC to bring a better look and set of downs instead of always going with a running play on every first down, boring.
Since Parcells left the Jets haven't hired one experienced HC. It's been non-stop in-season on the job training for nearly 20 years now. Of that group Toilet is by far the worst, he hasn't learned anything from his mistakes, has zero in-game coaching skills. It's not painful to watch him screw up again and again, I've come to expect garbage decision making from him. The pain is just seeing his smug ass on the sideline pretending to be a HC.
