MisterMoss, former mod, former admin, former respectable human being... wins the Vegas Mod Pool.

RichMiano, sorry I didn't call and hit you up for that beer, the trip was a whirlwind, and I was too busy crying myself to sleep each night.

    The winner is....

    MISTER MOSS

Mantana Soss was waving the white flag pretty much as soon as we landed the plane. He was dead money from the start. He had to sell his plane ticket for more Blackjack money, and even that he lost. I'm waiting for the flight home at McCarran airport now. I think Soss is outside offering sexual favors for a flight home. The flight takes off in 45 minutes or so, so he's running out of time.

Jetfanmack started off on a down note, mainly because Soss's terrible luck rubbed off on him. However, a first place in a poker tournament got him back on the plus side. Then a positive showing at the craps table made him a legitimate contender to MisterMoss's throne. However, the rest of Wednesday night was a shitshow for our hero, as he dropped below the even line and far behind MisterMoss. A $720 profit in craps was very nice, especially when I was rolling for a half hour, taking down $400 in the hand. Unfortunately, MisterMoss was also at that table, so he was riding on my coattails.

MisterMoss just learned craps less than a week ago. But sticking to a gameplan of only playing that game (and getting a lot of luck) worked out great for MisterMoss as he just steadily made money. While Soss's bankroll crashed like Dale Earnhardt at Daytona, MisterMoss followed the Al Davis plan of "Just win, baby" and steadily won money, having a very nice trip in the process.

    Congratulations MisterMoss! Now you're banned.

Look out Yisman. I just tripled up my Vcash on Mister Moss.

Good move playing Craps. It, along with Black Jack, has the best odds of any Casino game.

I've been harping that claim all week. I think I'm off the bandwagon.

Craps is the only game I really play consistently any more. Blackjack is terribly boring if played right, although I've never lost any real money at it. It's fairly easy to win. I can't imagine a losing streak that spans the length of a day, let alone an entire trip. You'd have to be a pretty terrible player for that to happen.

Fairly easy to win at Blackjack? Even with perfect strategy, the house edge means that barring card counting, you will lose if you keep playing.

Yeah, I just learned craps on my recent trip to Vegas back in May. I found an empty table and the dealers taught me how to play, and gave me plenty of tips. It's a nice positive game because though it doesn't pay out a lot, the payout is often.

If you're not employing even basic card counting, you're a sucker.

Not a sucker. It just means you're like the vast majority of players, who play casino games casually.

Card counters are a different breed.

I personally don't play at casinos.

The vast majority of casino patrons ARE suckers.

Thanks guys. Craps was a fucking awesome game. It's pretty easy to win that game. I played about 7 hands of blackjack the entire trip, and that was only because it was poolside. Lost $15 there, about $40 in poker in an hour, and made a killing in craps. As one who actually enjoys playing table games like blackjack and spanish 21, I gotta say that playing craps is an experience about 20 times more exciting.

I used to believe in the 51-49 house odds in blackjack, but I'm starting to think that is some bullshit propaganda that casinos spread around to entice more people to play. It's such bullshit and I hope Soss never touches that game again. Did you know there is a way to control the dice in craps? I just learned this. Something about keeping it on it's axis or something. Regardless, it's more fun to lose in craps than lose in blackjack as well.

I more or less lost 4 bets out of 5, continuously, for the trip. And I play statistically correct blackjack. I don't count cards numerically, but do halfassedly follow trends.

I count cards numerically to within a couple of points of the count and still can't beat the shit out of it.
