^^^^^^^^^ Holy SHIT!!!! Gruden was quoting Rivers?? That's fucking ridiculous. I didn't pick up on that at all.
I made the bet for my third parlay early in the week and started regretting it right after I made it. I thought the line was favorable, in the sense that the chiefs just got off a huge win that I thought was very overrated by analysts (which does matter in sports betting) as well as I thought the Chargers would bounce back. It was a dumb bet looking back. Arrowhead is such a hard place to play in and I broke my number one rule of Pro football betting. Never beat on Divisional Games.
This kinda goes without saying at this point in time, but how much longer does this guy get put into the "elite" or "near-elite" status everyone wants to throw him into? I know the fantasy freaks are fapping to his 349 yards right now. Did any of them really matter?
Am I the only one that hates Fantasy Football now. I think FF and the Redzone channel are the two worst things for the Game of football, although they are probably the best thing that has ever happened for the NFL (if that makes any sense). These big plays are what make football great, but its not what makes the game.
I used to. That response actually makes a ton of sense. Somehow ridiculousness and clarity seem to coexist somewhere in that hazy scenario.
I hate fantasy too even though I still play. There is always going to be the divide of those who look at that and say he's good and those who know he's been shitty this season.
The only thing I hate more than fantasy football is the urge for people to root for their fantasy team out loud...or just generally in my presence.
Yeah I play as well, but I think it skews people into not realizing all the little things that it takes to be a good football player. It also makes people not want to see a great defensive battle. People don't notice the routes run by the wide receiver who didn't get the ball that caused the other receiver to get open. How many people know how great of a run Blocker Braylon Edwards is. How many people know how many times Sanchez has avoided a sack with his legs on a 3rd and long and then completed the ensuing pass for a first down. The little things are getting missed because all people care about now are, who are the big yardage players, and who is scoring the tds.
You asked for it. Norv Turner's - or Phillip Rivers's for that matter -nickname happens to be Dr. Choke. Bet on him - that's the surest way to go broke in the shortest amount of time.
It looks more like "worst thing ever" than "worst day ever" to me, and could refer to one of his awful INTs. Edit: actually, it was probably that brainless fumble at the end of regulation.
