Anyone else just laugh at the misfortunes of two of the most sad-sack teams in the league? And they play in the same division.
The AFC West really blows. The winners of the South and West are likely fodder of the losers of the East and North
The Chargers can still be a pain the ass to deal with. The Texans may have turned the corner, but very unproven in the playoffs.
If the Texans can play defense like they did vs. Colts (yeah, yeah...no Peyton) they're a tough team. A team I think we still beat because we have number 24.
well after week 1, and granted it's only week 1, I would have to give my vote to the Kansas City Chiefs as the team most likely to have the #1 pick in next years draft. There were teams that looked bad this week, but almost all of them had atleast 1 aspect of their game that looked good. Not so for the Chiefs, having watched the game there is not one aspect of their game that looked like anything but a JV team. Alot can change over the next 15 games, but after week one only the Chiefs have nothing they can point to as a positive after the game.
We'll know more next week, but I suspect the Raiders are going to be a tougher out for teams than you're giving them credit for.
it's really dumb in general to draw any sort of seasonal conclusions based on the 1st week of the season. especially in a lockout shorted offseason where players and coaches had no contact. on paper, the bengals and jags and panthers should have been the worst teams. oddly enough, they 2 (and almost 3) of those teams had wins in week 1. we'll see what happens by midseason
I'm going out on a limb and saying they win the division. KC will come back to reality, Denver sucks and the Chargers still have Norval.
