A GREAT SPORTS DAY FOR US!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankeeeeeeees Win The Pennant!!!
What a great weekend....the Jets make us proud on the Left coast, and the Yankees bring it home to the East coast and get it DONE!!! Thanks for an awesome thread, guys!:up:
Happy as anything today! Great game, great series. I give a lot of respect to LA. They gave us more than I thought they would. I just want to say "Thank you Swisher." He's struggled to the point of being completely ridiculous at the plate, but his play in right has been absolutely wonderful all October. As that ball early was in the air I was thinking to myself "Why is Vlad so far off first?" Great heads up play, and that really set the tone for the night. Buck and McCarver are complete douchebags. You could almost hear them hoping the Angels would continue to come back. Well piss off assclowns. The Yankees have won the pennant! Andy was great last night. He's now the winningest pitcher in postseason history, correct? Mo is awesome. I didn't really like the 6 out save move, but it worked out. (I didn't like sending Andy out for the 7th either.) The top of our order rules. The bottom is coming around. Now put Posada and Matsui at the bottom so they stop GIDP or striking out when they come up in big situations. Shit. And McCarver talking about Matsui not going anywhere. F you Tim. The guy has been horrible this October. That's not the way you make the case to stay with the team. Can we make roster moves again? If so, I say drop Guzman and bring Hinske to the World Series. We need a real bat coming off the bench late. Also, I'd probably drop Gaudin for Bruney. I'd rather have Bruney for situational pitching than Gaudin to just sit there. Anyway, 4 more wins! Let's get them! Wooooo!
What's funny is that Angels fans can't stop crying about how biased Buck and McCarver are against the Halos. I guess just nobody likes them. To be fair he was also maybe the best DH in baseball this season. He's gonna be taking a pay cut if he comes back to NY but at this point I'd rather have him back for a year than pursuing a Holliday/Bay type. I don't think there's any doubt that Hinske gets added to the roster, the Yankees will need to pinch hit in the games in Philly. And if we've learned anything about Girardi it's that he won't hesitate to pull the trigger. What situation would you want Bruney to pitch in though? Just in case we need someone to walk the bases loaded? Bruney's worthless, at least Gaudin can provide some length.
