What's your thoughts on salary caps?

Which do you prefer:

Football - hard cap

Basketball - soft cap

Baseball - no cap

Soft cap, I have a bald head.

I think teams should have a way to keep their own guys, yet the leagues need to be competitive. So I guess that would mean a soft cap.

I think that you need either a hard cap or no cap. The soft cap is way too easy to work around because trades are so easily worked around it. All it really does is allow the NBA to pat itself on the back as small market teams sign big players and soon after get tired of paying them and trade them to the big market teams.

IMO there should be no cap, but it has to be accompanied by legitimate revenue sharing and a minimum total payroll to ensure that the owners who recieve shared revenue spend it on the team.

One of the many reasons I dislike baseball is because there is no salary cap.

There needs to be a tough cap for the big money sports.

Hard cap or else they might as well contract 20 teams as they will never compete on a year-to-year basis.
