Question....And I'd like to hear ur thought on why Jets didn't bring in Ryan Fitzpatrick. I personally like his skill set & is a much better passer & QB than Sanchez. To me, he would be my starter & put all this QB drama to bed!!!

Do you think Fitzpatrick could take the Jets to a Super Bowl?
Can't bring in anybody as anything more than a stopgap if you don't see them hoisting a Lombardi Trophy at the end of a season for the Jets. |

Fitzpatrick is an average QB and would be an upgrade over Sanchez I'd take him as a stopgap if we don't get Geno Smith in the draft.

The thing to remember about QB is that for most teams if you don't have a really good one you're not going to win a Super Bowl.
There's only one player in recent history who could source Super Bowl wins from anywhere but QB. Ray Lewis. How do we know this? Because Ray Lewis won two Super Bowls widely separated in time and he did it both times without a great QB. |

He most likely signed for way more than we are willing to offer for a stop gap.
Why spend all that money on a multi-year contract for a QB who won't take us all the way? Waste of cap space and a waste of time. Garrard was a good signing for this. Cheap and effective if healthy. Get us through the year and draft the franchise guy. |

Guys clearly better than Flacco: Peyton Manning Tom Brady Drew Brees Aaron Rodgers Ben Roethlisberger Matt Ryan RGIII Matt Schaub Eli Manning Tony Romo Guys I'd take over Flacco that are not on that list: Andrew Luck Andy Dalton Cam Newton Matthew Stafford Philip Rivers Which puts Flacco middle of the pack in my opinion. I think the Ravens are going to deeply regret the contract they gave him. That deal is going to force them to get rid of him in a few years because he can't possibly live up to it based on what we have seen so far. Last edited by Br4dw4y5ux; 03-19-2013 at 11:35 PM. |

I would put him right around 10
definately not top 5 but in today's NFL I would say you need a top 10 QB to win it all. |

How can you label guys like Andrew Luck and RGIII over him when they are rookies. Flacco has won a superbowl with a superbowl MVP and was perfect in the playoffs. Something like 9 TD's and 0 INT's. He is definitely not top 5, but he is definitely top 10. He is much better than RGIII and Schaub. |

He had Chan Gailey as his HC, so he should have performed better. Imagine how bad he would be with Rex.
No Thanks.

You are half right. He is definitely a much better passer and QB then Sanchez. That being said, he should never take another snap as an NFL qb.
