Trading Revis is a cap hit not savings. Not bad attempt. I have been looking at Pou'ha as well. I was hoping on draft day to move him to a contender for depth getting a 5 or 6. back supposedly better

Actually it isn't a hit. The only way to trade Revis is for a new contract to be drafted, I took that for granted and should have specified that.

If your right, we have at least 3 contracts we can restructure to compensate it, still a cap saving.

I cant possibly justify passing on one of the top pass rushers to take a safety who is a mid second at best.

I know people LOVE to get a lot of picks, but the best players in the league are usually first round picks. I understand adding depth but you need to have elite players

Jones has a medical condition that should shorten his career. He could give a team a couple good years, but Reid and Minter could give us a decade.

I would rather build strong foundation before I add the window dressings.

If Jones is there at 9 i take him if he is still there at 13 there is no way I trade that pick he is a animal although his helth is a concern there is a chance it may not even effect him at all during his career and the risk is worth it cause if he were healthy he would prolly be the number 1 pick

Therefore, we should be able to trade out of the pick. Jones is also undersized for a 3-4 olb. Jenkins could alo been a first round pick if he wasn't hurt, and will be a better run topper at the next level.

Updated 2/15/2013 in Opening post

To gain additional cap space if needed, we will restructure Cromartie's contract.

Not that it makes a difference really. He'd come cheap regardless.

I can't decide between trying to get Colt McCoy or Jimmy Clausen. I had McCoy in there, and took him out. Oops. LOL

Fixed!

What trash would you rather pay for? Overpriced, or rightly priced?

Thanks for the input.

I don't remember ever saying this will happen. I do this for my own entertainment, and to get real feedback, if it is offered.

Edit: Just took a look at your mock. So please accept my apologies in advance for ignoring your feedback from hear on out.

that mock was pure fun, did you see my claim in saying that it was extremely unlikely

anyway people need to stop mocking Revis to Tampa Bay, its not happening

LOL, I see, since I didn't put in a "I am not the GM, and this won't happen" I must think that it will happen.

Do you have a link saying that it won't happen, because the rumors are that Tampa Bay is going to be active this offseason? Tampa Bay is a very logical trade partner, as they have the money, and need secondary help. Not to mention, this is a weak draft. Who is more of a sure thing at #13 than Revis?

regardless of Tampa Bay having interest in Revis, the deciding factor for them giving up so much would be him signing a contract extension

of course they'd trade for Revis but would Revis sign long term there, I doubt it.

he wants to be here, if not here then Pittsburgh, Detroit, San Francisco and Green Bay all seem like more likely destinations since he's holding most of the cards
