What scenarios have the jets getting in? obviously the colts need 3 losses and so does Pitt.

If only the texans play the colts for real week 17...... hate to say it, but go Pats monday night, get a game behind houston so then they have to play week 17.

Either Pitt or Indy needs to lose at least 3 games. I can see it happening to Pitt more likely than Indy.

Depends a lot on Big Ben's health. The Bengals are very much in the wildcard race too. I could see them getting the 6 seed.

I think out of all that they have to accomplish. 4 - 0 seems the easiest. It's just the other teams that are an easy 2 games ahead of us, losing half there games. Not gonna happen. We need
PITT 2-2 Have to lose at least 2
Indy 1-3 have to lose at least 3
Cincy 2-2 have to lose at least 2
Fins can go 3-1 just 1 loss
Bills same as fins. just 1 loss

All this needs to happen to at least 2 of these teams and us win out.

Bills and Fins play each other, so one of them gets a loss. Plus, Fins play San Fran.

Both of them are non-factors IMO.

Indy is the most likely to go 1-3 to be honest.

Cincy and Pitt: One of them will lose. I think Cincy will be more likely to go 2-2.

Do that, and we're in.

Jets upset the Pats in the first round with McElroy at QB.

Also, if all 4 go 9-7 (Jets, Colts, Steelers and Bengals), we are in. If Steelers go 10-6 and the rest go 9-7, we are in as well.

Yeah but the colts need to lose 3 out of 4. that's harder for us then us 4-0.
Pitt and cincy both losing 2 of there last 4 is harder then us going 4-0
And with the ravens now behind more then just a game from 1st place , Gives the texans no reason to play that last game.

Well, either Cincy or Pitt will lose one game.

It all depends on how the Cowboys do these next two weeks. If they can take care of both Cincy and Pitt, than one of them will have two losses.

As for Indy, I don't think they can be consistent enough for these last four weeks.

Not if they lose to NE Monday night. Then they'd need to win that last game to secure home field.

haha I made this same post about an hour after the ThanksGiving debacle and the mods deleted it within SECONDS! I guess they weren't in the best of moods, or they ate too much turkey!

Can someone more ambitious than me go back and look at what had to happen in 2009 about this same time? We had to win out and a bunch of teams had to lose, and it all worked out after Rex stuck a fork in us!

I think the 'challenge' in 2009 was about the same as it is now.

We need a win bad this week. The jags should lose but they have henne and henne is playing better then he did when he beat us with the fins. No MJD gives more hope though.
Also no shot the chargers are beating the steelers. We really need the titans to beat the colts. That game can go either way. And the bengals vs cowboy game is a pick em.

We will win this week.

I have more faith in the Cowboys than the Chargers, unfortunately.

Titans vs Colts. You know how divisional games are. Colts may attempt to sleep walk in this.

From memory, we didn't control our own destiny heading into the ATL game, we needed help. Then when we lost, every other AFC team ahead of us lost giving them a worse conference record, then we were a win out and in scenario

The key game in us making the playoffs is Cincy vs Pitt wk 16, and we need Cincy to win. Once PITT reaches 9 wins, they automatically make it in over us.

We can get in if pitt wins that game and indy finishes w/9 wins.

I was assuming the Colts would finish the season 2-2, but yea if they go 1-3 then Pitt needs to win.
