2006 World CUp Thread

I don't usually start threads let alone in the BS forum but I had to today. I don't know how the rest of you feel about the sport but to me it's christmas morning. I have followed football (soccer for the ones that don't like calling it by it's real name :_) on a global scale almost as long as I have football. I for one plan to watch all the games live since they start so early ( GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLL 1-0 germany) in the morning. Am cutting this short so I can watch the game. Just wanted to get thoughts from others here about the world cup, it's going to be a great month of football.

it's on right now on espn2, am watching on Univision....i love the way they call GOALS on that station. :-)

Germany 1-0 so far. They are very aggresive early on, they have all the momentum and the home crowd behind them. They should......GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL. .....1-1 tie, i was going to say have a easy time against Costa Rica, so much for that.

some of us have fridays off. Besides most games will start by 10am et. so alot of people that work in the afternoon or are off for the sumer will be able to watch the games.
Teams am rooting for are USA of course, England (gotta root for beckham) as my sleeper and brazil, lets see if they can go back to back.
