This thread won't be half as cool after SanBow destroys Schaub Monday night....

Shit like this.. especially now, while we struggle.. is completely unnecessary.

You sure the Jets wouldn't have dumped Schaub with his injuries by now?

It is always looks great in hindsight, but one has to consider that Shaub had 3 very mixed years in his start with Houston, when he had just as many haters as admirers. Would the Jets and their fans have been as patient waiting for him to develop into what he is now, as they've been waiting for the Sanchez ship to come in?

Abraham for Mangold was a good deal. You can't blame the Falcons for not wanting to trade a good back up QB for a pass rusher with attitude issues.

Schaub at QB
We could have still had Mangold by trading up from our early 2nd rounder 2009 means we stay put and grab Percy Harvin and keep our 2nd for another piece Damn you Atlanta |

And yet they traded their 1st round pick for that same player and a 1st rd pick >>> most back up QBs.

That said, this makes me sad. |

I don't understand how Mangini doesn't have a front office position somewhere. It baffles me Chargers wouldn't trade Turner for a 1st but let him walk in free agency.

A known quantity is greater than and unknown. He played in 4 games and must have looked good, especially if we wanted to make him our starter. Draft picks even in the first round are a gamble.

I remember this. Timing of bringing it back up is depressing.

This. A.J. Smith rears his ugly head yet again. And honestly compared to what the return was on Schaub, they should've just gone ahead, kept their first rounder and taken the initial proposed deal. Not for nothing, but Schaub has 8 million weapons including the arguably the best back in the game. Put Sanchez on the Texans offense and I'm willing to bet he's just as successful.

Whatever, Schaub or Turner would've been nice but I'd rather have Mangold than both of them.
Also, I'm so sick of the media calling the Jets a "circus." It's only a circus because they made it into one.

So what if we did get Schaub? He would've been run out of NY before now.
