Default If not Sanchez then who?

I see a lot guys saying Mark hasn't changed will never change we need a new QB, etc.

Well if we move on from Mark who do you think will help us

Matt Barkley
Tyler Wilson
Geno Smith
Tyler Bray

are the only QB's in the draft I think with a decent future in the NFL but are they going to be any better than Sanchez

Do we sign one

Joe Flacco- will be tagged
Matt Schaub- who knows but he's old

trade for one, a disgruntled back up

Matt Flynn- stuck in Seattle
Colt McCoy- meh, who knows
Colin Kapernick- stuck behind Alex Smith, raw but talented
TJ Yates- performed well last year when Schaub went out
Kirk Cousins- good back up like his game being developed behind RG3
Matt Cassell- If KC doesn't make progress he'll be cut or traded I like his game though

Within

Tim Tebow- please no
Greg McElroy- no thanks

regardless Sanchez has another guaranteed year on his deal but really finding a QB is very difficult, you either get lucky in the draft, suck so bad they fall to your lap or trade for an underutilized back up

Schaub is out, he signed an extension last week. IIRC it was about 4yrs, $62 million.
But no one that list really impresses me.

Sanchez is fine. We need a better running back.

And also - I never thought I'd say this - please bring back TJ Conley. Malone STINKS.

I really don't feel like going through the years of growing pains again. It's rather annoying. We need to stick with Mark or we'll be back to that whole rebuilding thing. Giants stuck with Eli. Look at how that turned out.

He had a few very good punts and a couple of ugly shanks. He's already better than Conley though.

This thread sucks. Just saying. It's Week 3. Sanchez played amazing Week 1, then played poorly against the Steelers in Pittsburgh (As most QB's do). I can't believe this thread has already been made. Okay, I can believe it.

Also: I would take Sanchez over every single person you named as alternative options. haha.

In this league, you either should have a very good starting QB or be in the process of developing a guy you think can be a very good starting QB.

Sanchez is still young enough where I don't see the point in abandoning developing him, just to appease a small section of the fan base who don't understand this.

Exactly. If we give up on Sanchez, we're back at square one: trying another draft pick hoping for the best, or getting someone else that's either a free agent or backup QB that we strike lightning with.

I will say I think some people are overrating Sanchez's performance in week 1 a tiny bit. Receivers were wide open most of that game. Sanchez played very well, but his job was made a lot easier by the Bills secondary.

By the same token, as easy as the Bills' secondary made Sanchez's job in week 1, that's how hard the Steelers made it yesterday.

Hey, where's ouchy? I was sure he would be able to present some suggestions to the problems that he's been crying about for the last few hours.

Maybe we should get some receivers that catch the ball and then focus on Sanchez. I thought he looked pretty decent all things considered. The receivers killed him and their was PI on the long bomb to Hill. They didn't call it because there was a terrible PI call against the Steelers a few players earlier where no one even touched Holmes.

If it doesn't work out with Sanchez, go all in with Tebow, design an offense actually geared towards his strengths, and start making room in the trophy case for a Lombardi.

I thought Sanchez played pretty well yesterday. His numbers may say otherwise but our receivers dropped a bunch of catchable balls. I wouldn't give up on him just yet. Give him more playmakers and shore up the O Line and he'll be above average.

Thats just never going to happen. Not anytime soon atleast. Tebow has a lot to fix before he can take over an offense.

It would take years to re-tool the roster and the coaching staff to fit Tebow's strengths and you just don't do that for a quarterback that can't pass.

Last week's game shows that Sanchez has it in him. Our receivers weren't getting open and Holmes dropped many a near perfect pass. This thread would have showed up the first off game Sanchez had, whether the 2nd week or 7th. I don't get the hate when its obvious there are bigger problems than him.

what makes you say Malone stinks? I thought he did a fine job yesterday.

regarding the OP question, i see no reason to move on from Sanchez at all. He needs a better supporting cast.

even if we do get another qb this would involve completing sucking (2-14 for a top qb), which takes away picks needed to address the same holes that still exist, rt, upgraded/complimentary rb, non-holmes like wr, lb, safety. Most of these would have to come via draft. Then we'll be in this same situation again 3-4 yrs from now
