Default Mets are 2-0!

Where are all the haters now? I knew all along that this team would surprise this season... this is just a preview of what is to come.

Alright a Homer after 2 games of a 162 game season... If they make the post season I'll be surprised... Other then that I see 62-100 record

What makes you think the team is as bad as you think it is? The bullpen is improved. The rotation will be superior if Santana stays healthy and pitches like he did opening day (or close to it). The lineup is filled with young hitters with pop. Yeah we lost Reyes, but the team can still score runs now that the dimensions are being pulled in.

Not saying that we will definitely contend for the playoffs, but if we stay in the thick of things and keep games close, we can certainly be in the wildcard hunt come September.

And for the record, in no way is this condoning the Wilpons. I fucking HATE the Wilpons and think that they have done more to destroy this organization than anything I can think of. In fact, I will not buy a single piece of Mets merchandise or any Mets-related product so long as they remain owners. However, that doesn't impede me from watching game for free over the net and in doing so I'll be doing it to support the talented young players that we have on the team. Not the owners.

Not denying it. I wanted all along is to DUMP every last piece of crap we signed to a contract Reyes, Beltran, Bay, Shit even david wright and get value and young guns to fill the spots so I am impressed how they've started I just dont see a young team sustaining this .

Eh Eh! Calm down buddy. Who like the Wilpons anyway... They're a joke.. Will they ever sell the team? I've always wondered. I have not bought a single thing SINCE they've owned so it's no biggie every move has never had substance in it just flash

Yeah I hope so man. I really think the young guys on this team are tired of being pissed on by the media and ownership and are out there to prove something this year. Like you, I'm skeptical that the talent level can sustain itself over a 162-game season and into the playoffs, but I really think they will make things exciting this year at the very least.

Lets not get ready to throw the victory parade just yet. But yes, i have a feeling about this team, that they will not finish last and they will not go down so easily.

Last 2 seasons the Yankees started 0-2.

1998 and 2009.

BTW Jon Neise is throwing a no-no.

There are few things more idiotic than Jets fans who make fun of fans of another team because the team hasn't been very successful. Talk about delusional and clueless. To be a Yankee fan and to make a point of going into a Mets thread to do it is beyond pathetic.

And I would say the same thing. Hey, if you want to act like the worst aspects of a fan base that's your choice, but it doesn't make it any less pathetic.
