Default Kellen Clemens to the Texans

"Houston will sign former Jets backup Kellen Clemens and put QB Matt Schaub on injured reserve, Jason La Canfora reports."

Superbowl!!! Good for him I suppose...

Good for Clemens. Going to backup Leinhart presumably?

Shanahan can travel in time... among other things...

BTW how in the hell could he be worse than Grossman and Beck in the Redskins pre-season?

Devastating blow for the Texans; shows how precarious football can be. I like them for a pitch at the championship game but without Schaub I can't see them getting past the wildcard. Good luck to Clemens though this might be his chance.

Kellen clemmons was a second rounder for us right? That's just as bad as the ducasse pick

For the first time since I've heard of Kellen Clemens I was kind of wishing he was around this week. Giving him a few snaps would have probably made more of an impression on Sanchez than giving them to Brunell. I thought he had a decent pre-season and was surprised Washington didn't keep him, considering they've had John Beck starting some games.

Default Texans sign Clemens

If we make the play-offs and get the 3-6 match-up, we could wind up playing the Texans. Imagine if Clemens started vs Jets?

Well Matt Leinart so far, has the backing with the Texans. How long that will last, is up to both him and them.

Clemons never got a fair shot with the Jets. I always liked him I wish him the best in Houston.

The same old Jets fans' mass suicide if Kellen Clemens beat us in a playoff game would almost make it worthwhile.

Clemens hardly even got a chance on the Jets. He was thrown into the fire with absolutely NO offensive weapons (certainly less then Sanchez has now and has had for the past 3 years) and up against good defenses. He only had 1 season (where he wasn't even the starter coming into the season!) to prove himself.

The fact that both Mangini and Ryan panicked and acquired someone else when Clemens was in line to start suggests that he isn't good enough to be an NFL QB.

The fact that he couldn't even beat out Rex Grossman or John Beck in Washington confirms it.
