Default Who wants to make some money with guitars?

PREMISE:

I played guitar for many years and although I'm a crappy player I know A LOT about guitars (as objects) and guitar effects.

I have a found a way to make very good money by exploiting the difference in price of used equipment between Italy and the US... it's 100% legal.
Please read this and let me know what you think...

Every guitar and every effect (those little pedals you see guitarists have) I have was bought (& re-sold) through the used market because at a cheap price you can get quality products.
Many many guitarists buy their effects used and not new because you can't really see the difference and they are A LOT cheaper.

ANALYSIS
The used market is big both in Italy and in the US... but prices in the US are just sooo much lower!

Example (price of used items in DOLLARS):

Fulltone OCD v4 -> Italy: 180 US: 120 (60$)

Fulltone Full-Drive 2 -> Italy: 220 US: 160 (60$)

Keeley Compressor 4 knobs -> Italy: 260 US: 190 (70$)

This shows avg difference is 60$, something more if the pedal is more expensive.
Us prices were taken from guitar center. Expeditions included in both prices

Looking at Warmoth (To view links in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. Your post count is 0 momentarily.) shipping to Italy costs approx 100$ for 13 lbs with UPS.
I'm sure it's possible to find something cheaper but for the sake of this argument let's keep that figure in mind.

Considering you don't pay ANY TAX on shipping used items (Yes, I'm sure about that) let's say we ship 6 pedals at a time from the US to Italy.

Money made: 60 x 6 = 360$

Money spent (shipping): 100$

This means for every 6 pedals bought used in the US, shipped to Italy and sold here (I assure the prices I posted are right, I bought and sold A LOT of guitar stuff) you can make approx 260$!!!
And it's all perfectly legal!!!

The investment is roughly 700-1'000 $ per expedition but you make more than 25% from it.. I'm sure with some cost cutting (looking at better prices for used gear & cheaper shipping) you can make around 300$ for every shipping.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

I'm looking for someone, possibly a guitarist or who's son is a guitarist, to:

A) Share the initial investment (not necessarily 50-50).

B) Have the stuff shipped to him. He needs to test that it works fine (this is why I need a guitarist).

C) Package and ship it here (I live in Milan, in the part of Italy that works... Milan is Italy's New York).

And then, depending on how much he invested in it we share the revenue.

I need to trust him because all the stuff will be initially shipped to him and he needs to trust me because I'll be the one making the money and having to send his part back to him.
thanks to internet we should be able to share info on how this thing is going fairly quickly and so hopefully nobody fucks nobody. But this will be based on trust so we should share all our personal data.

I'm no fraud... I'm just an enthusiast guitarist that has found a way to make some money... I hope to find another one .

PS It doesn't only works with effects but also guitars and pickups and other stuff like that...

I know nothing about guitars as I have the musical ability of a housebrick, but are these items powered? The mains power in Italy is 220V whilst in the US it's 110V, so you'll need to factor in the cost of a voltage converter as well.

Haha!

One I sold a used PC online and this fucking Nigerian chose the "buy it now" option... ebay immediately cancelled the transaction because the guy was a fraud ("I live in England but please ship in Nigeria for a wedding gift" Yeah right...) but they charged me the money for the transaction...

from that day Ebay still ows me 5$!!!! Assholes...

Nope, that's only true for amplifiers. Pedals go with batteries or with power suppliers... but the power supply doesn't come with the pedal.

mmm let me rephrase it:

you don't go:

house electric grid -> pedal

you go:

house electric grid -> power supply -> pedal

Pedals work with 9-18V and 1000mA max so you buy power supplies that supply 4-10 of them at a time. Those are the ones that can't be bought in the US and used in Italy... but pedals are the same everywhere in the world.

Hmm... I do still have a guitar and bass lying around. You've been around awhile. Let me think on it.
