Brock Lesnar may never fight again

Brock Lesnar is so sick, he'll be going to the Mayo Clinic so doctors can figure out what to do -- but it will probably require major surgery ... UFC Prez Dana White tells TMZ.

White tells us Lesnar -- the UFC heavyweight champ -- is "very, very sick" with some sort of intestinal disorder, although listening to White, it sounds a lot more serious than that. White says the condition will require "major surgery."

White is going to visit Lesnar in the hospital and is trying to get him transferred to the Mayo Clinic, one of the most renowned medical facilities in the world.

White says Lesnar -- formerly of the WWE -- was diagnosed with mono more than a week ago and was "bummed out" that he had to cancel the fight and went to Canada to rest. White says Lesnar collapsed in Canada a week ago today and has been hospitalized ever since.

White acknowledges the current condition is not mono but he will not be specific. White says the condition is not HIV or cancer.

And, White tells TMZ, "There's a possibility Lesnar will never fight again."

Well fuck. That is a huge blow to MMA as a whole, as this guy was the biggest draw in the game right now.

I'm assuming we'll see a Mir/Carwin fight in a few months for the interim title, should Brock require surgery and not be able to fight for an extended period. Mir will win that fight.

When I initially read about this my thought was HIV.... even though they go out of their way to tell you it isn't. Honestly don't care for him as a fighter but as a human being I'm hoping for the best for him. Vegas is a huge MMA town and this is sad news to all sports fans. The guy is a huge draw and has been very good at marketing himself (while pissing off many people in the process). Hopefully his career isn't over before it begins.

Wow I gotta say I'm pretty taken aback by some of the responses in this thread. Give the guy a break , even if you don't like him do you want him completely taken out due to a sickness and not because he just got knocked out or submitted?

I think it sucks for the sport. Brock whether you like him or hate him is a draw and creates buzz. Anytime you have Brock highlighting a card it gives the chance for Joe Silva and White to make creative matches that they know are going to entertain even the casual fan. Think of how awesome the Mir-Lesnar under-card was.

Brock is going to be out at least a year, is what I've heard. Could be longer, depending on the severity once they get inside. Rumors are already flying it's due to steroid use, which is feasible.


And ya, he is married to Rena Mero(Sable). Notice it was "bi-sexual"? Sable likely particpates in anything, if there is anything.
