It's legit. Interesting though, and dumb on 49ers part. They need so much help. Might be targeting Davis at 6 and Williams at 22.

Or they're trying to get some "moolah" to trade up with

very dumb on 49ers part but if they got D'Eangelo and Davis Alex Smith has a chance to succeed..but they still have no O-line

Alex Smith won't succeed anyway. He's the worst #1 overall pick in NFL Draft history

D'Brick and DeAngelo? D'Brick and Jimmy Williams? I'm not familiar enough with the SF team to make an intelligent observation as to what they're doing. All I know is that they're the least talented team in the NFL most likely, and trading 2 guys for one guy might not be the best idea for them.

yep and yep. Worse than those two. Even though I always hated Tim Couch, it at least made sense that he was the #1 choice. Same with Bruce. But Alex Smith was 2nd round talent. The 49ers should have drafted Derrick Johnson #1 overall and drafted a QB in the 2nd round. This is why agents ruin the NFL Draft. They get players drafted higher than they should be.

That was my immediate reaction too. While they have a lot of needs, it would not surprise me to see them move all the way up and grab Bush. If they stay put, I can see their draft board like this:
6a) Hawk
6b) Davis
22) Best Available RB

If they trade up and grab Bush, then I see Houston's draft board like this:
6a) Davis
6b) Hawk
22a) Wimbley
22b) Best Available OT

Right now I have them pegged with taking Vernon Davis at 6 and Deangelo at 22...that would be a HUGE boost to their offense.

Well they do have Kevan Barlow and Frank Gore at RB so they should be ok there... with players such as Wimbley, Lawson, Allen, and Whitner flying up the mock boards it looks like Santanio Holmes may be the target. They need help at WR badly, and Holmes is a guy that could come in and be a fast target for Alex Smith immeadiately. I think Holmes is the target or an OL or a LB or who knows this team is so bad. Santonio Holmes would make the most sense though.

I didn't mention Santonio because I don't think he will be availble.

It's dumb for the 49ers because they have multiple holes, but it's dumb for Denver also because they only have 2-3 holes to fill....they could have been all set with their first 2 picks...now they'll have to find gems.

Well if you look at how drafts are panning out, it looks more and more like the Eagles, Vikings, Cowboys, and Chiefs are all looking for defense. That leaves the Broncos (who will take Jackson or maybe Deangelo), Miami (rumor is they want a safety), Chargers (they have really bad needs in the secondary), and the Cute Fluffy Pink Pixies (a possibility... but if Deangelo, Manny, or Wimbley falls forget about it).

It seems that Holmes is going to be around at 22... if he is he'll be jumped on in a heartbeat.

i don't think they are going to trade up for Bush. They have so many needs that trading their top three draft choices would not help this team at all. It already will hurt them to lose the second and third rounder because they have a ton of holes.

They need a WR, TE, RB, OL, LB, NT, CB, S

P.S. I agree with Alex Smith being the worst #1 ever. At least in recent memory. I mean the kid didn't even throw a single touchdown did he?

He threw one TD and 11 picks. Niners should've traded down or taken someone else.

they have a TE - Eric Johnson... all he needs to do is stay healthy. TE is not a necessity but someone like Vernon Davis would be a great pick
