I was down in Baltimore for the weekend for my cousin kid's bar mitzvah.
When we got to the reception, we thought we were lost because it looked a church. The attendant told us that it had been converted to a hall. Built in the 1800's, Edgar Allen Poe is buried right outside the door. I toasted him with a cocktail. Gen McClellan the civil war general who ran against Lincoln in 1860 for president is also buried there. During cocktail hour, they had a tour of the catacombs. Seems all these folks are buried beneath the dance floor. First time that I've partied with a bunch of dead people. (Not counting a few dead parties that I've been too. It was weird but cool. |
