There was a damn leak on the ceiling of my first floor, which is right below a bathroom upstairs. This bathroom is part of a guest room, which is not frequently used. It actually hasn't been used at all within the last couple months. We got a professional to look at it, and he said there isn't anything wrong, despite the leak on the ceiling. The leaking eventually stopped on it's own, so he says if it were something wrong with the pipes, it'd keep leaking without stop. Well, now it just started to leak again, but stopped on it's own like last time. Any suggestions? Should I just ignore it, or get someone else to check it out? Or maybe I should just build a pool under that ceiling?

Sounds like you might have a ghost.

If you don't believe in ghosts, then I'd have another plumber check it out. |

That happened to me once – I had passed out on my couch after a night of black out drinking and woke up getting rained on. It didn’t really make sense since I was down stairs but when I investigated it I figured it out pretty quick.
See – my drinking partner and friend in the black out drinking night at some point decided to take a shower. Well – he apparently passed out in the shower leaning against the wall with his foot over the drain. Eventually the tub overflowed and it started running through the floor and ceiling respectively. I found him still passed out cold in the shower the next day. You may want to check for a passed out drunk friend with his foot blocking your shower drain.

![]() S'ok, it's gotta be either a smashed friend who passed out in the shower...or a ghost. I know people don't often get the greatest advice when they come here with problems, but I was hoping for at least one plausible answer. |

A ghost is a plausible answer.
