The Jets have nothing to lose imo if they sign a guy like T.O. They need a receiver that the defense have to worry about and none of these guys will make a defensive coordinator fret.

I understand the logic of "letting the young guys develop" but there are two problems with that.

1. Mark Sanchez doesn't make players better

2. These guys aren't good enough to get major playing time out there.

So if the Jets want to compete they might as well bite the bullet and pick up T.O who can instantly help this offense. Plus he would be motivated to prove that he has something left in the tank.

This could work to our advantage since they won't know which receivers to double. Yep, got them right where we want them!

It would reflect the Jets management team and coaches understanding the reality the Jets are in right now.

This season is a bad dream so far. Pretending that there's a reason to play the 5% chance that Revis can come back at the end of the season - and would then be able to play well - for the Super Bowl is just absurd.

Rex keeping Revis off of IR is like somebody letting their husband or wife's corpse moulder on the sofa so that they can watch Jeopardy with them every night.

The minute Rex bows to reality and puts Revis on IR is the minute that he can begin to really focus on using this season for some positive end instead of just a trail of tears.

To answer the question, it should be Chaz Schilens. He is a guy I feel really good about. Funny how he's the one with the injury problems...
Last month it was Edwards, he just wants a name he knows no matter how bad they may be.

I'm pretty sure the Jets players and coaches aren't moping around like a bunch of sad sack fans and having daily prayer sessions that Revis will return. The Jets aren't the ones who aren't focusing on trying to have a positive season.

The 53rd roster spot is pretty insignificant. Please provide a single example of a 53rd roster spot having any significant impact on a teams season. People whining about it are ridiculous. On top of that, where were all the same whiners when Dennis Landolt was taking up that roster spot with a significant injury? There were no complaints. Now we're making retarded analogies about people keeping corpses on the coach.

There are plenty of legit things to focus on if being negative is your thing.

What the hell is up with Keller and Hill? Did they tear their hamstrings in half or something? I know that pulled hamstrings take a long time to fully recover from but what the fuck? It's that bad that neither guy can even get on the field for Monday night?

I agree with you, especially about T.O. He wants to prove that he still could play, he'd be motivated to play and play hard.

Kerley/Schillens probably. With Gates? I would have liked Jordan White and see what he has. Reuland and Cumberland the TE? Maybe the Jets will use Joe McKnight as a wide receiver a bit more since they are so lacking there.

This has to be a game where we see more McKnight. I don't care that he has fumbilitis. He can catch, he's explosive compared to the rest of our team, and he can run.
