Prior to posting my first post, I went back and read all of the game threads for 2011 to try to get a feel for the members of these forums. The first few game threads this year show that the low fan base opinions of the team and 1st string QB have not changed since last year. So I wonder if those that post on the game threads or if those that sally into this forum to post venomous remarks are the true Jets fans. They appear to be at the opposite end of the spectrum. It is a game, something you play, why all the antagonism?

I am a U of F alum and have been a Gator fan since I first stepped on campus back in Sept. of '63. That isn't to say I cannot root for another team, I've been married to an OSU Buckeye alum for the past 37 years. I like Tim since I followed all of his college and Bronco games. As a former Marine platoon sergeant I understand his work ethic. What I don't understand is where all of these vitriol comments come from. Perhaps Dr. Spock, not Mr. Spock for those of you who don't read books, was wrong.

Anyway once I get my 10 posts I'll go back to lurk mode.

It's been a pleasure reading your posts. As you may realize, the powers that be have given Tim fans our own forum. Many of us are citizens of the Gator Nation too and have been having a lot of fun in this forum. Please don't be a stranger.
