I would have played the guy who showed promise in the past and has the team in a financial knot rather than the guy who is not an NFL QB and should never have been here but for the owner or the kid with no arm.

If we can't trade him then that's exactly what's going to happen. There is no doubt that the Jets are going to address the QB mess this offseason. Either through Free Agency or the draft, most likely both.
