Default Bills release Merriman

Quote:
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- It's lights out for Shawne Merriman in Buffalo after the Bills cut the one-time star pass-rusher.
The move was announced by the team in a one-sentence news release issued late Monday morning as the Bills prepared to return to practice following a two-day break.
Merriman considered this year as the best chance to revive his career after season-ending surgery in November to repair a partially torn right Achilles tendon. It's an injury that had nagged him for much of the previous two seasons.
The seventh-year player was entering his third season in Buffalo after the Bills claimed him off waivers after Merriman was cut by San Diego in November 2010.
At his peak, Merriman was regarded as one of the league's top pass-rushers, and earned the nickname ''Lights Out.''

And here we have the downside of PED use early in his career...

wait, I thought he was the second-coming of Bruce Smith in Buffalo. I don't understand it how can he be cut when every Bills fan has told me he is an animal.

You see it's because we have an abundance of talent at LB. We simply did not need another superstar

P.S, the roid raged meathead can't play with his hands in the dirt.

Straight to Hell?

Relax, pal. These are not really serious thing we are talking about here. It's not really a personal accomplishment if the team you happen to root for beats the other team. If you live in a city where your team wins the Super Bowl every single year, does that make you a better or more talented person? The answer is self-evident.

"Jills trolls" is a good one though. How will YOU treat them if the Bills win, which is possible, believe it or not?

More like this is what happens when you don't get surgery on your blown out knee right away and try to play through it like a moron.

I wonder how he feels about his decision to be a "warrior" and not have the surgery.

He did eventually, after trying to play on it and hurting himself even worse.

He wasn't as good after being busted for PEDs.

I can't resist asking, how bad did AJ Smith fleece Ernie Accorsi in that trade again?

In general I don't think PEDs make as huge a diff as sometimes we think, but with this guy it seems like he never even would have made the league without the juice. Maybe you can blame his injury too, but I dunno...........
