Latest in college realignment and surely will not be the last. If I had to guess UConn will quickly join the ACC and FSU and Clemson will be next out the door to the Big 12.

I think FSU will for sure go to Big 12. I wonder about Clemson but I knew there was a reason Maryland and FSU voted against the other ACC schools for that "buyout". You know the Noles are p'd off about losing 1 game by 1 point and having no shot at the title. That probably wouldn't happen in the Big 12... of course with the SEC bias it would.

Especially with how much the new system is going to value strength of schedule I think all the ACC football teams will look to jump ship.

The B1G is clearly going to 16 teams. I suspect Virginia will be their next target. Fits the new B1G , a mid-Atlantic AAU team. UNC would also be a good fit, though I doubt they will want to break apart from Duke. Georgia Tech also fits, but makes less sense geographically.

I think UNC and UVA would be good choices. I don't think either would hesitate. Each school is now getting roughly 17 million a year from their TV contract but the Big10 schools paid out about 24 million per school. Throw you would now have All of the DC and New York markets as well as most of Charlotte and the Big10 footprint would be massive. If A&M and Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska, Colorado and Nebraska, Utah and BYU can end their rivalries I think UNC would distance themselves from Duke. The one built in advantage UNC has over those other schools is the Duke/UNC rivalry is more about basketball then football so there is no reason why they still couldn't play once a year in OOC. They have about 10-13 OOC games as opposed to 3/4 like football

I don't know how much more Virginia would give the B1G after getting Maryland. I think UNC and getting into the Atlanta market with Georgia Tech is a smarter move but who knows. Either way I think UNC & NC State will be hot commodities and will be out at some point.

I don't think FSU or Clemson would get an invite. Niether South Carolina or Florida will want to risk becoming the 2nd best SEC school in their own state.
