As a Notre Dame fan I've had to deal with Chase Thomas and Shane Skov wreak havoc for the last few years. They also managed to contain Oregon and pulled out a victory. I'd take either of them in the 2nd.

This new found fascination with taking guards with incredibly high picks is even more awful than the preoccupation with obtaining number one wide receivers with incredibly high picks; yet every single year, there are people clamoring for the Jets to waste an incredibly high pick on an interior lineman.
This thread takes it a step further, asking about taking a guard in the top ten? Jeez... FWIW, neither is worthy of a top 10 pick. If we have our eye on either, I'd prefer to trade down. If I had to take one there, I'd take Glover, because he theoretically improves both our coverage and our pass rush, and those are areas where the Jets are wildly deficient. -X- |

- 3 of the 5 49ers starting lineman were drafted in the first round, with a 5th and an undrafted free agent. - Ravens starting o-line is a 1st, two 2nd rounders, a 3rd and one of the better 7th rounders ever. Jim Harbaugh on his high pedigree o-line: "While Colin Kaepernick has received much of the credit for the 49ers' march to the National Football League's title game, Harbaugh said those protecting the second-year quarterback had been "phenomenal." "I'd call them offensive weapons as well. They've all played well together. It's really been a strength and a center for our football team," he told reporters on Wednesday" |

Against Georgia, Alabama's offensive line bulldozed an athletic 3--4 defense with great linebackers and a massive nosetackle, paving the way for 350 rushing yards and
a 32--28 win. Guess what the Crimson Tide faced in the BCS title game? An athletic 3--4 defense with talented linebackers and a massive nosetackle. Notre Dame's front seven was the best Alabama has seen all season, but Notre Dame has not seen an offensive line as good as Alabama's, which blocks for a pair of sledgehammer backs, Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon. Left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio is a future first-rounder. Left guard Chance Warmack might be the best in the nation at his position. Center Barrett Jones, the 2011 Outland Trophy winner, won his third national title at his third position. Right guard Anthony Steen and tackle D.J. Fluker manhandled Georgia's 358-pound tackle, John Jenkins, last week, proving that they aren't weak points. "They lined up and knocked us off the ball," Georgia coach Mark Richt said. we all know what happen to Notre Dame they got steam rolled. nuff said.
