When he was at Florida, Cam couldn't hit the ocean from the beach. I thought we were screwed when Tebow left. Cam . . . could . . not . . . pass. Other than being a cheater and a thief, the real reason he left Florida is that Brantley had been recruited to play after Tebow, and that next season Brantley would have been ahead of Cam on the depth chart. All of this was because Cam hadn't figured it out yet. Suffice it to say . . . he figured it out. He's good.

Laugh all you want, but I see Tebow as having the potential to be Cam Newton with intangibles. Tebow's just different -- he has not picked up the ability to quickly throw it, both the mechanics or the mental decisiveness. At his deep subconscious, Tebow is a "people pleaser" who wants to do things exactly right. It causes him to make his reads slowly, and over think mechanical issues. But when it all comes together, it's going to be great I think.
Maybe I can't get the mental block of Cam being Tebow's backup out of my memory. I can't bring myself to say Tebow may get to Cam's level. I still think Tebow is a franchise QB.

Cam put his mechanical training into turbo -- first of all, he obviously had the talent for it. Second of all, George Whitlock is a genius. Cam even improved noticeably during his Heisman year. He worked all during the lockout on mechanics, and they put him in an offense with two killer pass-catching tight ends, plus Steve Smith (who catches anything within about 10 yards). It got him going early with good decisive reads and pulling the trigger.

If Cam ever struggles, it will be with interceptions. That's what always gets a quarterback who has all the tools.

No shame in losing out to a HOF'er, but that doesn't explain why the Broncos thought they were better off with Caleb Hanie as the backup rather than Mr. Miracle. Thought they were better off with Tebow playing for the Jets. You'd think a great athlete like Tebow, one destined for greatness at QB would have still had a place somewhere on the roster.

But they didn't. Why? Keep attacking only partial parts of my posts, or attacking me personally if you wish, but none of you can answer, can you? I can.... he sucks!!!
Sanchez stinks. At some point the discussion has to turn from whether Tebow is better than Sanchez, to why people think it's necessary to perpetually lower expectations to support a QB who gets a pat on the back for throwing for 82 yards. Oh yeah, and for not losing the game, as is his habit.
