Lions to me.
Jets about where they should be (somewhere a game either side of .500 even if getting there has been ugly)
Chargers 8-8 last year and lost talent, a bit disappointing, but not massively
Eagles probably second most disappointing to me, were 8-8 last year, but tons of injuries soften it a bit, also no one should have thought that defense would be good.

Which brings us to the Lions.
10-6 last year, looked like they had found a franchise QB, had the best WR in football and a strong D-line.
A huge mess this year, their QB fell apart which is most concerning. Also their D doesn't take the ball away or get sacks at the level they did last year.

If they don't make the playoffs it's the Giants to me. They beat the 49ers and packers in one sided fashion and would be dangerous in the playoffs if they were playing their best football. Those other teams mentioned had potential to be good but the giants are a threat to win the title so them missing the playoffs would give them the most disappointing season award to me.

Maybe New Orleans.
It's ashame that we have been held back to piss poor coaching on both sides of the ball. We have a top 10 team overall, player talent wise.

Detroit.

They're in a tough division but no one really expected 4-10 or whatever they are at this point. Not with Stafford/Johnson, and several studs on the D-line. The Lions are the Lions again, and it didn't take very long.

Top 10? That's a pretty big stretch, no?

That is beyond a stretch.
They have no QB, really thin O-line
No LBs at all, and only 2 decent secondary players.
Also they have 2 of the worst run defending DE in football.

No QB and LB'S except Kelvin Sheppard is right but I fully expect our first pick (hopefully around 5-7) to be a QB. We have a team that is ready to win now.

Not sure how you can say we have a thin O-line? Woods injuries have been a concern but they have been freak injuries, there is no denying that he is not a top 5 center. Levitre is also a top 5 guard and Glenn has played amazing all season. We finally have our LT of the future. Then you throw in a top 3 RB and a top 10 WR, our team is ready for a rookie to come in and win. I also think we go after Bowe in the offseason.

2 decent secondary players and one elite. Lets not pretend Byrd is just "decent"

You don't understand my frustation of watching 13 straight years of pathetic football, wasted talent, and a terribly run front office. We have amazing talent that is held back due to inept coaching. FCOL Spiller is averaging more yards per carry then A.D. this year but Chan refuses to let him carry the load.

Spiller is good. Stevie Johnson is decent. That's about it on offense.

Defensively I'm having an even harder time coming up with names.

Levitre will likely be a probowler. Wood would have been in not injuring himself a few weeks ago and Glenn is proving to be a good pick.

Come on now, you can't deny the defensive talent isn't there. Mario and Kyle Williams. Dareus, Byrd, Gilmore. All playmakers. Of course it sucks we have Ralphs bargain sale Dave Wannstedt running the schemes.

Oh, I think I understand... I'm 40 and have been a Pats fan since I can remember.

Spiller has been great, and Gailey's use of him is a fair point, but beyond him, I'm not seeing it. I guess, since the Bills have lost four by a TD or less, you could make a case for those games. But the remainder of Buffalo's losses probably aren't games where a stud RB would have made a big difference.

Even if I just agree for the sake of agreeing, though, I'm not sure I'd say top 10 is realistic.

The Giants?

Coming off winning the SB the Giants are the 9th team right now in the NFC and even though those fuckers have more lives then Rasputin they look dead right now.

Unfortunately, if they beat Baltimore they will probably get in, and the way Flacco has gone into the toilet there is a very good chance they'll do it.

If BAL hits the WC, BAL, If NYG misses, NYG. Currently without knowing those scenarios, has to be the Lions. Man they fell hard and quick. Supposed to be a bright future with Stafford and supposed to be a great playoff team, last in the division with Cutler and Ponder led teams ahead of him
