The NFL has a sheet that every GM uses when trading draft choices. The sheet gives each draft choice a value in terms of points. The idea is to get an equal point value when trading picks. The Jets hold the 26th pick in the draft, 700 points. The 6th pick in the second round (from the Skins), 520 points. The 26 pick in the second round, 320 points. This give the Jets trade options in the draft IF they can find a trading partner. The Jets in THEORY could hold the 26th overall pick and the 21th overall pick in the draft with no second round picks. They could also move to the 12th over all pick with the 26th pick in the second round. Or they could move to the 16th overall pick with the 6th pick in the second round.
My question to you is as follows. If you could trade and get any of these situations would you stay pat or pull the trigger on one of these trades. Please explain your choice as well. I believe I would move up if it meant getting Lamar Woodley. As he very well may be the pure pass rusher the Jets need. Here is the draft point sheet in case you want to dream up another scenario To view links in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. Your post count is 0 momentarily. |
