Does this mean they may not trade/cut Tebow?

My prediction is that he stars in a reality show dealing with building hospitals in Africa and stuff like that. You might think a prediction like that crazy, but that fits his personality more so that taking a job filled with guys like Shannon Sharpe, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Marino.... or even Trent Dilfer.
College football, not the NFL.

The money ESPN is willing to pay is going to be too much to say no too.

You are also correct that he'd be better off retiring than staying a jet. After what has transpired with him this last season, anyone who thinks any of that will change with another year of Tebow on the roster is kind of off their rocker.

Personally, I believe he will be on an NFL roster this year. might be someone looking to capitalize on his popularity just as the jets appear to. Also, there is still a slim chance in hell that a team might think they know how to use him.
I should ask you if you are ok this morning ...you are the only one of the Broncos Tebow bash brigade I have some respect for .

To answer your question .

I think tebow is 99% done. I posted my detailed thoughts on another thread about it. Your side won out (salute) maybe he plays again in the NFL , sure anything is possible just not probable.

Somewhat depressed this morning, actually. Can't imagine why. Maybe it is disappointment that the world didn't actually end on Dec 21.

His football career depended on one of two things happening: either him developing the skills to play in a more standard offense or making the switch to TE/H-Back. The first just didn't happen for whatever reason and it's late for the second.
And the careers of Kaepernick, Wilson, RG3 and Newton are not dependent upon this....why, exactly?

Just a quick guess - because they are all light years ahead of Tebow in terms of their ability to pass the football...

So if those QB's have the skills to play in a more "standard NFL offense", then why are their teams running the option (albeit with 500% more creativity than Fox/McCoy called for it in Denver last year)? The offense that all the Tebow haters said has no chance of succeeding in the NFL, it set the NFL back 50 years. Does it have no chance of succeeding in the NFL with them running it also, and if not, then why not? It already worked with Tebow, and it worked with them this year, too. When is it going to stop working?

They are running with more creativity because they aren't limited by an option QB that can't pass. you can add so much creativity when your Qb can't hit the broad side of a barn.

OR, it could be that they're running with more creativity because their coaches are vastly superior offensive play-callers than John Fox and Mike McCoy, as was on display several times this weekend with even the great Peyton Manning under center. In 11 years as an NFL head coach, Fox's teams have averaged being the 19th highest scoring offense in the league. He had 4 teams in his tenure with Carolina that scored less points per game than the Broncos under Tebow last year. An Offensive mastermind, he definitely is not. Tebow averaged almost 7 points more per game with Studesville as the interim coach in late 2010, + a few veteran wide receivers.

Yeah, but McCoy was calling the plays, not Fox. Plus, the best QB Fox got to coach by that point was some dude named Jake Delhomme. I doubt that guy is gonna see the HOF.

Plus they did let him throw a lot in the Miami and Detroit game, but he kept denting cars in the parking lot so they went to the run option and threw as minimally as possible. Fox himself said it wasn't working when they changed it up to play to his strengths. (Which can also be code for staying away from his weaknesses.... namely throwing.)

It was the limitations one had with Tebow. Now, the excuse that none of the coaches were willing to work with him might be valid, but don't tell me that Tebow is just as good at throwing the ball as those other guys. he was piss poor throwing it most of the time. Gotta work with what you had. A wise man knows his limitations, and our coaches knew what they could and could not do. Tebow really only belings in the conversation with those others due to his mobility. Mobility like that is a bonus, but unfortunately about all Timmy can do. Though, Tebow kinda sucked on reading pass defenses too.

You do realize that McCoy was on Fox's offensive coaching staff for 6 years in Carolina....right? Are you really so asinine as to believe that John Fox has no input into the offensive play-calling?

Neither will 85% of the QB's starting in the NFL right now. Your point?

Well, if you ever watched Tebow play any at Florida, you know that what Fox and McCoy did to the offensive play-calling under Tebow could hardly be considered catering to Tebow's strengths. It was a very small part of what he did well at Florida. For starters, they would have called some plays that involved passing to Tight Ends. Tight Ends like Aaron Hernandez were a big part of the passing game at Florida. How often did Tebow throw to the TE's on quick throws after the snap in Denver last year? Not very often.

By the way, I'm pretty sure I asked and you still haven't answered just why, exactly, Denver scored almost 7 points more with Tebow in late 2010 than with Tebow in 2011, with 2 of those 3 games coming against the #1 and #2 pass defenses in the league that year.

???

The point should have been obvious to anyone with and IQ higher than their shoe size.

The point is, he never really had a good passer, and was kinda forced to lean heavily on a run game. you really think that was supposed to change with Tim Tebow, who's only real asset he brings to the table as a QB is his ability to run?

He actually had a lot more pass plays called with Orton, and especially with Manning. I'm guessing Fox doesn't have such a long history of being run heavy if he had more Manning types in his career to throw the ball.

The point was obvious. Forget you need it drawn out in crayon sometimes.

Oh, hell yeah. We knew despite getting Manning that there were still some holes on this team. Those have been identified and I firmly believe some of those will be addressed.

Plus that question on whether Manning can come back from the neck surgeries has been answered. Hard to argue with a 13-3 season even if there were a lot of crappy teams on the schedule. The Broncos weren't always winning those in years past. Just a couple seasons ago, those games were 50/50 at best.

LOL. You act like Fox was stuck with Delhomme or something. For 6 years. Fox darn near cried when higher-ups at the Panthers finally forced him to put Delhomme out to pasture. Maybe you should just acknowledge that Fox is a ridiculously conservative coach. He had multiple years at Carolina with an offense that scored less points per game than Denver under Tebow in 2011.

Still waiting for your enlightened knowledge on why the 2010 Broncos under Tebow scored almost 7 points more per game than the 2011 Broncos under Tebow. Only major difference was the coach. Seems pretty correlative to me.

Jets might be scared shitless to release Tebow. Wrecks will look like crap if he shows up somewhere else and kicks his butt again like the Denver game a year ago.
