Good to see guys standing behind Tebow, Thomas is right. It is disgusting. You don't do that to a teammate. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised to see if something like this was said...

Manish "What do you think of Sporano's use of Tebow"

agree, I am almost willing to bet that if Manish came out with who the source was, that the source would be as surprised as everyone else. It would be something that was said off the cuff in training camp

Your Brady analogy is off. It would be accurate if I said "No Tebow used two hands to catch the snap, not just 1!"
Oh, what the hell. Since you wanted to get all nitpicky about the statement, it would be really nice if you were accurate in quoting what he said.

The statement was:

Do you understand that "pretty much singlehandedly beat" and "singlehandedly beat" aren't the same thing ? That the two phrases do indeed have different meanings ?

Yep, this story came out around January ripping Sanchez as lazy, using anonymous players. It was made as the biggest story that week except for the Denver's playoff game against Pittsburgh. Yes it was made by Manish.

Though I have to say at least Slauson put his name on it. I think Slauson was not trying not to disrespect Tebow, but to speak the reality of it, but Manish makes look like an insult. I do have to say for Sanchez's stuggles, Slauson should be the first one benched on the Offense, because he hasn't performed at all and Ducasse is actually better than him.

I would like to put a link but I'm boycotting any media anymore, though at least this story might take some heat off Sanchez and put it on Tebow, which might be a good thing this week. Sanchez has taken the wreath of the scum NY media for the past 4 years, maybe it time for Tebow to take a bullet now.

I think they should stick with Sanchez, why, because they did pay him to get out of this mess, time for him to earn his money. Also the schedule does lighten up, we probably played one the toughest schedule to date, with some of the top defenses in the NFL. It gets easier, supposedly.

Maybe it time for Tebow to release a statement saying that he "fully supports Sanchez as the starter, I know my role" so he can stop taking a beating in the media.
LAME

Tebowmania may have captivated the NFL last season, but Tim Tebow’s new team doesn’t believe that he’s a savior.

More than a dozen Jets players and members of the organization painted a sobering picture of the player who rallied the Broncos to the playoffs last season. In their eyes, he’s simply not very good.

The prevailing thought in the organization is that Tebow is nothing more than a gimmick.

“He’s terrible,” a defensive starter told the Daily News.

Although Tebow told The News last month that he has made improvements as a quarterback over the past few months, none of the people in the organization who spoke to The News shared that sentiment.

Both offensive and defensive players admitted that they hadn’t noticed any appreciable improvement in Tebow’s quarterback skills in practice since he was traded to the Jets in March. Tebow has been a poor practice player throughout his career. His current teammates echoed sentiments from Denver Broncos players a year ago about the lefthanded signal caller’s poor practice performance.

The 3-6 Jets’ dwindling playoff chances haven’t changed this mind-set in the locker room: Tebow isn’t a panacea.

Despite Mark Sanchez’s league-low 52% completion rate and league-high four red-zone interceptions, the players believe he should remain the starter over Tebow, who has accounted for only 132 total yards and averaged seven offensive snaps per game. Rex Ryan has backed Sanchez without publicly guaranteeing that he will be the starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Left guard Matt Slauson, who has repeatedly supported Sanchez, made it clear that the fourth-year signal caller is the Jets’ best quarterback.

“It’s not even close,” Slauson said. “All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don’t really have a choice.”

When asked about the team’s two other quarterbacks on the depth chart as possible alternatives — Tebow and Greg McElroy — Slauson clarified that the Jets really have only one other quarterback.

“We have Greg . . . and we have an athlete,” Slauson said.

But could the Jets win with Tebow as the No. 1 quarterback?

“Do I have to answer that question?” a veteran starter said, shaking his head.

To most of the people in the organization, Tebow is nothing more than a specialty player who doesn’t have the requisite skills to be a true quarterback in the league. “We don’t look at him as a quarterback,” another starter said. “He’s the Wildcat guy.”

The designation dismisses Tebow’s success in Denver last season. Despite Tebow’s magic from a year ago, the Jets still view Sanchez as a much better option and have no immediate plans to bench him, according to sources. None of the members of the organization interviewed by The News believed that a zone-read offense tailored to Tebow’s strengths can help the Jets reverse their fortunes.

“Hell, no!” another starter said. “You got to keep defenses honest. You just can’t line up in the Wildcat all the time. That won’t work.”

Tebow’s legs provide a tempting alternative for the Jets’ slumping offense. “That’s the real threat he brings,” defensive lineman Mike DeVito said.

“He’s a winner,” said a Jets source, who made it clear that even though he wanted Tebow to get more playing time, Sanchez should remain the starter. “If he stays on the field long enough, usually good things happen.”

But most members of the Jets don’t believe that what they saw from Tebow last season is sustainable. “We can’t win running that sh--,” one player said.

They think Tebow’s heroics in Denver were a mirage.

“Now we’re depending on miracles?” a member of the organization said. “You can’t play that way.”

However, Sanchez’s poor play raises legitimate questions about whether a change — if only temporary — is in order for a team that has lost nine of the last 12 games dating back to last season.

The decision-makers don’t think that’s the right course of action. “It would take extreme poor play. . . . like a five-interception game,” said a prominent member of the organization. “Something where it was just ridiculous. It would take Mark to totally just sh-- the bed and become unglued (before there was a quarterback change).”

The organization has factored Sanchez’s weak supporting cast of skill position players into the equation.

“Look at some of the players he’s throwing to,” a Jets official said. “It’s garbage.”

Said another Jets source: “I’ve seen better receiving corps in college than we have on our team.”

So, who wants Tebow to be the starter?

“Nobody,” a member of the team said.
GANG CUTS LB MAYBIN
The Jets have cut linebacker Aaron Maybin, according to a source. Maybin was a healthy scratch for the first time in Seattle. When the Jets signed Ricky Sapp off the practice squad last week, defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said Sapp would serve a similar role to Maybin’s. The Jets signed Maybin last season after he was cut by the Buffalo Bills, who took him in the first round of the 2009 draft. With the Jets, Maybin finally found success, tallying six sacks, four forced fumbles and 11 tackles in 2011. It did not last. This season, Maybin has made just one tackle and has zero sacks.

According to a source, the Jets have added RB Kahlil Bell, who was needed after Bilal Powell suffered a concussion against the Seahawks. CB Isaiah Trufant was placed on IR with a knee injury, according to a source.

I hope by now theres is not a shadow of a doubt in anyones mind its Cromartie. It's pretty damn obvious. Not that it makes a difference honestly, hes always been popping off.

Now if it was Revis, Bart Scott, or Calvin Pace, then that would be another story.

Today at the players interviews, Cromartie was blasting rap music from his locker room to try to drain the noise. When the Jets PR staff told him to turn it off, he did and then try to hide his face (and himself) while denying request for an interview. Wow, what a pussy.

If the Jets have the thoughts of Yeremiah Bell, that would be nice.

After last year too, I wouldn't be surprised if the actual quotes ever leak they are less incriminating than we have them. Remember, we don't know the questions asked and nobody is going to come up and refute the article saying that's not what they meant especially if the quotes as Slauson suggested, are old.

The comment from the Jets official is old about the WR also. Manish was sitting on this I think and waiting to drop it it seems

I will say this about Tebow and myself, I didn't want him, not even for the bringing togetherness of the lockerroom crap we were sold. When we traded for him I accepted it and rooted for him. I want him to succeed because he wears a Jets logo on his helmet. Do I think he should be the QB of this team? I don't know, can he be worse then Sanchez? At this point even if he is "terrible" what exactly has Sanchez been? Pretty dam terrible. I think benching Sanchez at this point is not an option but I think it should be. I want the Jets to win games and I could care less if it's the prettyboy ladykiller from USC or the guy who wears white athletic socks with black dress shoes and a suit from Florida, just win dam football games. The problem is the Jets have invested so much in Sanchez and so little in what's around him that whoever the QB is they are destined to fail. That falls on Tanny but I honestly think at this point we have to give Tim a shot, we shouldn't coddle Sanchez anymore. If Woody says Tebow will be on this team for 2 more years then we better start using him to win games instead of taking up a roster spot.

I don't buy the crap about his religion driving guys in the lockerroom to dislike him. That's nonsense and anybody who thinks that has obviously never been part of a team or has issues within themselves. I'm not a religious guy nor will I probably ever will be but I've been on teams. You play and work with guys, you don't need to have sex with them. Everybody does their thing and based on what I have seen of Tim I doubt he judges anybody based on personal decisions they make. The guy has been an absolute class act and he doesn't deserve to be shit on by "anoynomous sources".
This post is too level headed and practical. It wreaks of common sense. You are not contributing to the hysteria at all. What is wrong with you??!!

Bingo. Blaming the media is so comical. Every week we get a complaint about another writer or commentator not showing the Jets "respect" . hahahah, what a fuckin joke. The team is a joke.

I said last year when Rex admitted to losing the lockerroom that he should be fired immediately. IMMEDIATELY. Since theres no worse admission a coach could make.

But many on this board calle dme nuts. I said he'd never regain the lockerroom.

Well, its painfully obvious that the inmates are running the asylum here. This thing is embarrassing.

I just do not see how any normal, rational person could POSSIBLY entertain the idea of bringing Rex back next year.

The man is a joke.

Good point..... pull a Belicheck manuever and bench all the loudmouths this sunday, even if it means tanking the game. It's not like they're going anywhere anyway.
Unfortunately, I don't know if that message coming from Rex will be received at this point.

Um, no. The media is a bunch of clowns. They spent the entire season so far talking about Tim Tebow and this QB controversy that never happened. They are a joke. They deserve every bit of the blame. They are a bunch of hacks that can't analyze our team worth a damn. They overlook everything except Tebow, the one guy that has less to do with us losing than anyone else on offense.

First, this story is dishonest, no proof whatsoever that anybody said anything claimed in the article. Manish has posted these "anonymous source" articles before and to this day none of them have been verified. Second, Slauson has come forward and said the quote that Manish attributed to him was made in week1 or preseason. If you never heard of quote mining or taking quotes out of context this article is the definition of that, and if one part is twisted from the truth, chances are the rest of it is as well. This pulls the entire article into question. Sorry I just don't believe something because some hack journalist says it. Proof or it didn't happen. Simple really and it applies to all parts of life. Manish needs to put up or shut up.

What cracks me up more than anything is how many sportscasters and fans actually go alone with this story as if it has any credibility whatsoever. Sorry I have higher standards than that. People blindly believing this article is similar to creationists claiming science is wrong yet providing zero proof of their claims and pretty much just making stuff up. Manish Meta whatever his cornball name is has ZERO cred right now.

Proof or it didn't happen. Posts like this are typical of giants fans. Why are you even on this board? Go back to enjoying your team as it collapses late season like usual.

Somehow I think your insult of the Giants falling apart late in the season isn't going to bother him too much considering how they've won two Super Bowls in the last five years doing just the opposite.

Man the fallout from this was bad, not only did the Tebow fans come out in full force, but the ENTIRE JETS FANBASE and ex-NFL players think the Jets are a complete joke, nice job, the Jets deserve the clown suit now.

These guys are morons, what a bunch tards this team is. They are getting their ass kicked left and right, none of um are worth anything. And yet they rip the back up qb. Too funny, same guy who beat our ass last year. I was happy he came, Sanchez blows, he always will. If we dont run the football we will always suck. But sure, be one of the worst teams in the nfl and talk shit about the guy who doesn't even ---play----.

Around a 30 yr fan here. How many of these shit talkin losers are from NY???? Gtfo. What is holding me to this team. Getting real tired of this shit. Never saw Pennington act like such a broken baby, and he was the weakest qb I ever saw... whine and put his head down and slam his thigh, with his limp ass wrist, like I do Snachez at the end of every...... fuckin....... series.

I know the secret of why they dont want Tebow, its not cause he cant throw.. yea yea I know he cant, but its cause they are used to having a wet tampon back there and are scared of having someone who has a pair. And this includes the head coach, fat tampon number 2. Who cares if he cant throw you cocksuckin faggots, this is a mans game, and Im tired of rooting for the biggest pussies the nfl has every seen.. To think I acutally got excited we might get a ring after all this time, instead I get to hear this woman bullshit talk, EVERY WEEK. Go throw your pretty ball sanchezy, if the mean guys let you play with it, all your sweethearts will love you. See what the 49ers did to your punk ass FAGGOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT?? That's football.

If he was black he would be in a better position to start a game. Non-racist christian fanatics and the liberal media would have joined forces to make him start. I imagine the liberal media saying that Tebow have not started a game because of racism and because the establishment doesn't want a good black kid to succeed.
