Probably will be used to call up Fletcher or Walls from the Practice Squad.

Undrafted from UCLABell was signed to the Chicago Bears' practice squad on September 16, 2009. He was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on November 20, 2009, to replace an injured Garrett Wolfe.
His first NFL carry on November 22, 2009 was a 72-yard run against the Philadelphia Eagles on NBC Sunday Night Football.[2] This is a modern NFL record for longest first carry of a career. His first NFL touchdown was a 25-yard reception against the Seattle Seahawks on December 18, 2011.

In 2011, after an injury to Matt Forté and Marion Barber, Bell became the starting running back for the Week 16 and 17 games against the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings after beating out undrafted rookie Armando Allen. Bell also played in the Bears loss against the Denver Broncos.[3] Bell and backup quarterback Josh McCown both generated more than 400 yards in the Packers game. Bell would record 121 on 23 attempts, and caught 4 passes for 38 yards.[4]
In 2012, Bell became an unrestricted free agent, and the Bears extended a qualifying offer to him, which he accepted on April 14, 2012.[5] The contract was worth one-year and $1.26 million. He was waived on August 23, 2012 when he refused to have his contract reduced to $700,000.[6] He was re-signed by the Bears on September 15, 2012 after starting running back Matt Forte went down with an injury.[7] Bell was later waived on October 15.

Sounds like Bell has some potential

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him end up in New England only playing passing downs on 3rd and long or second and long, thats all he would be good at in this league, he isn't fit to stop the run he has 1 tackle all year. David Harris has 71 tackles Maybin has 1. Everyone underates David Harris but he is a very good football player and we need him(just saying)

I don't think Maybin will even be looked at by the Patriots. They already have like 5 or 6 DEs on the roster. The pass rush issue seems to be scheme-related, because the DC Patricia is convinced that his line is good enough to generate pressure without blitzing when that's just not the case yet.

Listen- We are all VERY unhappy with Mario so far. that said, no one said he was gonna be a bust, we all knew what he was.

Maybin was and is a bust. He got some sacks last year, because other guys did their job and the fast LB should get there to get a sack.

Now the question is.... Will Bell actually get any snaps what so ever? I'm so sick of Greene it's pathetic.

Maybin should have never been cut. Jets haven't used him properly. Jets & Rex are totally lost. Is sad & a damn shame. Now we'll see Maybin in the Super Bowl....Good luck Maybin. I hope u come back.

Looks like he was a one-season wonder. If only he could've kept his weight up but then again if he was capable of such a feat, he'd still be on the Bills.

some players have all of the physical attributes, but no game. as a pop warner coach i learned that pre equiptment practices means very little. everybody looks good without equiptment.

Maybin hardly played, it's hard to be effective when you're playing little to no snaps.

Counterpoint: Maybin hardly played because he sucks.

He's useful in 3rd and long situations, and that's it.

Our running game needs major help so I can definitely agree with this move, plus Maybin has done zilch this year.

lol if you ask them, that never happened...

bills fans are amongst the dumbest in the NFL from a football and personal standpoint.

I agree, Pace has been terrible almost his entire Jets career. How many years left does he have on his contract????????

He's gonna get cut next year to free up cap space anyways.... If he doesn't though, I'm gonna yell.... a lot.
