The whole NFC West is a lot better.

SF is probably the best team in the AFC, at worst top 3.

Seattle is a top 5 team in the NFL at home (not as good on the road). Of course we get them on the road.

Arizona is one of 3 undefeated teams left.

Even St. Louis is better.

At least the whole AFC East has to play them. We already saw Arizona beat the Pats.

People here seem opposed to him, but I'd like to take a shot with Cowher. That being said, we probably won't.
I hope Rex can straighten things out. I really do. And he may. He had a lot of success, followed by a 8-5 to 8-8 collapse (with loss of locker room control) which is a big deal. Rex talked a big game early on. You knew when things went bad, they were going to explode in his face. We aren't there yet, but we are heading down that road. If the Jets go worse than 8-8 this year, that's 2 years of serious regression, plus a locker room implosion last year.

Let's say Tanny is fired. Any respectable GM will want their own HC. So, we either get a puppet GM, or a GM with power who will most likely want Rex out.

A lot of people are pointing to a 2-1 record and are happy, but there are huge holes on this team combined with a massive lack of talent at the skill positions. Not sure how you can watch the Pitt and Miami games (along with preseason, which everyone dismisses) and think we are solid. The Bills game is most likely an aberration. Miami is putrid and handed that game away last week.

And here this whole time I thought SF was in the NFC

Arizona's gonna run out of gas as soon as a team takes them seriously. They're gonna get the shit beat out of them hardcore.. like a 30-0 or 40-6 type game.

San Fran is defense first, stop their run game and they can't do shit.

Seattle is the refs fav. team so they could go all the way.

St. Louis isn't even worth talking about, but they could beat the Jets sure.

Can't take any of their QBs seriously but Seattle, SF, and Arizona got some defenses.

Might want to backtrack off saying Seattle is top 5, but I think they have the best home field in the league, and they're a solid team to go along with it.

Bad teams get the shit kicked out of them week in and week out. Good teams win... struggle or not. Great teams win consistently and look good doing it.

The Jets look like a good team right now... definitely not a great one. The Jets have problems and still have a lot of work to do but they are far from hopeless.

The Giants made the playoffs last year as a good team and ended up winning the Super Bowl. Not saying the Jets can do that. Right now all that's important is making the playoffs.

The season is still young and all things considered the Jets aren't off to a bad start. There are no style points in the NFL.

I think the NFCW will be sending 2, maybe 3 teams to the playoffs this year.

EDIT: Looked at Seattle's schedule. Yeah, they're probably not making the playoffs...

It's been a crazy start to the season for the NFC West. Arizona's defense is playing light's out right now and Kolb has done a good job since filling in for Skelton. Seattle's defense looked unstoppable last night. And the 49ers are easily one of the best 5 teams in the NFL despite losing on Sunday. Yikes. We just can't catch a break

Seahawks and Cardinals both seem to be very much FOR REAL... at least on D. Niners as well. That division is transforming, of course that's what happens the year we play them. Oh well, more losses for the Patriots is a good thing.

Glad we lost. We wouldn't have a vid of Shaun Ellis thowing a snow boulder at a fan either.

Yes but I also remember 56-45 vs Cards and 45-3 Rams.

But alas, as every pointed out - this was supposed to be an easy schedule...

It's too bad the Jets didn't get the AFC West slate this year. I hear they hand out wins to any team that needs one. Such a caring divison.

Lifetime Ram fan here. The Rams still have at least a year to compete for a playoff spot but Fisher has them swarming to the ball on defense - their DEs should give the Jets a bit of trouble, the LBs can hit and the young DBs are coming along. They should have beaten the Lions, they shut down RGIII in the second half in coming back from 21-6 against the Skins but they gave up and dogged it against the Bears.

The Niners D hoo boy but if Sanchez can out-play Alex Smith they could duplicate the Vikes win. Harbaugh still hasn't figuered out how to use Moss in the red zone and hopefully he won't learn quickly. Get to Smith and you have a good shot.

Cardinals - very fast, very tough D, good luck.

Seahags - no clue, even less sure of them after last night's debacle.

A "smaller Tebow"??? ROTFL. Russell Wilson as a rookie in his third professional game is already a better QB than Tebow, but then so are Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin III, and Ryan Tannehill.

Yea I don't understand that comment at all. How in the world does Wilson compare in any way to Tebow?
