LMAO

"16) New York Jets: Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC. Won't be surprised if they trade up for Barron."

Not only did I not like the pick (missing out on Floyd and DeCastro), but
I cannot believe the comment he made.

What would you do if we TRADED UP for Barron!?

Funny thing is that he has us taking Branch in the 2nd too... Two OLB??? Back to back? With the number of holes we have?

Also, Upshaw was picked 48th overall, right after we picked Branch. God, how do people get paid for this pile of shit?

Put me in line for the two linebackers but it's obvious that u need to go inside and outside.

My best case scenario would be branch and h'tower or Ingram and curry.......

I have no problem going back to back LB's even with the OL issues. That being said I do not think the jets actually do it - mostly because they have already telegraphed to us that they will draft OL early.

I think it's almost a necessity to be active during rounds 1 and 2. We need 3 picks in the first 2 rounds. That would go a long way to replenishing the roster.

Actually Casserly is a pretty smart guy and I wouldn't mind at all if he were our GM but his mock drafts have never really been close.

Mark Barron is one of the top players in the draft. I take him in a minute.

I like nick perry. I don't like him over floyd though.

I also am not sold on perry followed by Andre branch in round two.

One thing for sure it's better than the cookie cutter take most churn out in the last couple weeks.

Michael Floyd or David DeCastro with our 1st round pick and THEN Courtney Upshaw with our 2nd round pick?

I want to party with Charley Casserly ------ he's drinking/smoking great shit.

the nfl network's mock drafts are a total joke. ill never forget how hard i laughed when they said the rams will draft trent richardson. i'd be ok with nick perry, he seems like a natural pass rusher. i still believe we need to trade down though, it just seems logical

Guess why all the bad trade-ups and reaches that the various mocks have for the Jets look plausible.

I picked Nick Perry in my Jets mock. I just feel he has the most polished pass rush skills in this draft.

I would love him in the first, but why would they then select Branch in the 2nd? Makes no sense.

Casserly is a joke. Nick Perry eliminated himself from all 3-4 teams by telling them he prefers to play in 4-3. That is why they do interviews too so that its not all stats and 40 yard dashes.

Yeah, he'll definitely try to suck on purpose of a 3-4 team picks him. Maybe he'll just quit and go to the UFL.

But would you trade up for him at the 16th pick?

Someone needs to prepare a thread ahead of the draft titled "The Jets are idiots! They drafted X when I think they should have drafted Y" to contain the volume of hate that is coming regardless of who we select.

Whether we pass on Ingram, Floyd, Richardson, deCastro, Kuechly or Barron there are going to be a host of angry draftniks. I can see it now.

Personally, I'm finding if really hard to prioritise the players likely to be available. There are so many who could make an early impact. I hope we don't go ILB or DB in round 1, but could I really kill a selection of Kuechly or Barron?

yeah, I wouldn't have a problem with it at all.
B. Thomas 10yr vet coming off an achilles injury
Pace & Scott haven't exactly been getting faster either.

2 LBs and an olinemen with the 1st 3 picks would mean the JETS are setting up for a strong team NEXT year.
