I know this isn't the genre that typically gets talked about here, but I have to give a BIG shout out to "Downton Abbey". I am just about done with Season 1 and it is an awesome show. It has amazing writing with some of the best characters on TV. I've heard that the second season gets even better. While I'm sure that everyone is used to zombies, bikers, meth cookers, and serial killers, if you've got an open mind to something very different, give this a try. I know it sounds boring, but it is anything but.

If you wanta another quality british show , dig up " upstairs down stairs" made in 70's set pre ww1 in an london house . Realized that there was more in uk tv than benny hill , love thy neighbour and on the buses
