Default Favorite meal when you're sick

At home today with a head cold/chest congestion. I was just sitting here thinking what I'm going to have for lunch....and I realize I always have the same thing when I'm under the weather.

-Lipton Chicken noodle soup
-2 grilled cheese sandwiches w/ketchup

What's your go-to meal when you're fighting a cold?

That sucks that you aren't feeling good.

Chicken noodle soup always helps. Good call on the grilled cheese. Some mac & cheese should hit the spot too - usually does for me. Also gatorade.

Beef extract and cooked bread?

Do you know what goes into the food that your country has established around the world as its national cuisine?

Yes indeed, and yes it does. I likes me some protein and I'm not unduly fussed which bit of the animal it comes from. It just amuses me when Americans get all po-faced about the fact that Brits eat offal.

Food additives are ubiquitous these days.

Green colouring is often used to colour mushy peas. It is typically achieved by adding the yellow and blue additives, E102 and E133, which together produce the green effect. The use of artificial colours results in bright green mushy peas. Pure mushy peas, with no colouring, tend to form a more grey-green end product. Sodium bicarbonate is often added to soften the peas to enhance the colour and to inhibit fermentation during soaking, which reduces later flatulence in consuming said foods. The British Food Standards Agency, on 28 April 2008, asked for a voluntary ban on artificial food colourings and suggested that the ban would be practical by the end of 2009. This would mean that certain foods, including mushy peas, would need to be free of the additive, otherwise the item might be removed from sale.[4] Mushy peas present a particular problem since there is presently no[verification needed] alternative to tartrazine (E102), that gives it the bright green colour. Without the colourant the dish would be murky grey. Ministers have stated that they will pursue a ban through law if food manufacturers do not phase out the food colourings.[5]

Nyquil. There's no sense in wasting good food on a bad cold.

Chicken Noodle
Anything with Chicken
Hot Totti - (apples, lemons, oranges, peaches all boiled/simmered for a couple hours. Add tea and honey, then pour your favorite liquor inside. Whiskey or Brandy work well.)

Nothing with dairy, thats for damn sure. Those grilled cheese sandwiches are just going to give your more congestion.

Hot Green tea with a hint of milk, sugar and if you want, a touch of honey to start the morning.

Chicken Noodle Soup for dinner(Sometimes I have it for lunch)

And of course water daily. Not cold of course, room temperature.

You see his dietary habits? That would be doing him a favor. He should chew on a truckload if he has any sense.
